If a 1st line player gets hit like that there would be a line brawl. If there’s an injury on the play it is a major, ejection and probably 3-5 game suspension.
As much as I’m thrilled with winning against the best team in the western conference so far this year, that third period is history repeating itself. Sabres have had too many games this year where they’ve blown leads in the third (Detroit, Tampa Bay, etc.) now this?! I’m surprised they didn’t tie it up my sphincter could cut DIAMONDS for that last 2 minutes. The last 2 minutes were the only good 2 minutes in the third for Buffalo. Samuelsson, Dahlin, and Olofsson were fantastic on the back check on the half walls and on getting the puck out. Sabres have to stop relying on one awesome period to win. That strategy will only last so long. Granted getting three goals on only 18 shots on the road is ridiculous.
Nice to see Lawrence Pilut get his first GWG though that slap-shot at 3:14 looked like Tage Thompson he KILLED that!
