The draft record speaks for itself, and so too does the poor asset management. I genuinely do not trust GMDP with the draft if we are to slump into the doldrums in the latter half of the season. And as far as assets, Josi isn't getting any younger, hence surrounding him with pieces for success (FF9 resigning) lest he opt for departure. Meanwhile, Saros is untouchable. Period. I recall Brian Finley too well to trade away a 27-yr old, Vezina-worthy netminder to fall back on the potential of an untested, albeit highly rated prospect in Askarov.
