1. In regards to Foudy. First off, he's the easy one to send down because he doesn't have to clear waivers. Second, I think they envision a middle six role on the Avs in the future and he isn't going to get those minutes now with guys getting healthy. Down with the Eagles he will be getting top six minutes and can get some of that offensive swagger back in his game while refining all of the lessons he learned during his time with the Avs. I do think that he has worked himself into a top call up option for the team going forward and should most definitely be a Black Ace come playoff time. I will be interested to see how his numbers look with the Eagles now versus early season to see if there is a noticeable change in his game from that stand point.

  2. I am so glad you guys talked about the Macdonald shenanigans! What a waste!! I don’t know why we didn’t keep either Foudy or Hudon and then place Macdermid on one of the defensive pairings.
Glad you two have both recovered and the show is back on! I went nearly 3 years and just got taken down by the vid. The only nice thing about it was being in a fever dream state for that Boston game.

  3. It does seem odd to pressure your top guys with so much ice time in lieu of depth guys. But until players start speaking out against it, Bednar gets the benefit of the doubt as Alpha Leader & reigning, undisputed Cup Champion.

  4. Great to have you guys back. We’ve turned a corner getting some wins with a few pieces coming back to help.
I wore my Nate Dogg reverse retro jersey to my company’s Christmas party. Big hit with the fellow Avs fans 😁

  5. Re: Foudy, JB has shown he plays guys that have earned their Veteran Gold Card. Qualifying for the Card is some combo of: age, contract, Games Played; only JB knows the metrics. IMO Foudy has yet to earn his Veteran Gold Card

  6. I liked Kyle's evil genie comment. Does that mean if you wished for a million doll hairs that you would get a million dollars? Outsmart the evil genie

  7. Avs played a pretty solid game (after a bit of a shaky start), but I was worried our efforts were just going to result in us being out goalie'd last night. Thank goodness for Rodrigues. Loving his effort lately and loving the return of Dermy. Refs missed a couple of penalties in the third for us, I think.

Btw, I think the Avs play more physical with McDermid out there as long as he's not a liability. Just hope he can keep the penalties down. I think he adds more value than people give him credit for.

  8. Definitely an interesting game. Looked terrible the first 10 mins or so and then slowly took over until it turned into complete domination. Was funny when it looked like the refs called a penalty on NYI and Moser and Ryker kept laughing because they thought Cale told the refs not to give the them a penalty. What I think actually happened is that Cale was telling them he didn’t dive. Loving Erod’s game right now. Seemed he was skating even better last night and he mentioned after the game that it was because he was playing center which opened up the ice for him. Team gonna look mighty nice with both Nate and Gabe back.

Saw Black Label Society after Clutch opened at the Fillmore many years ago and by far the loudest show I’ve ever been to which had previously been Soundgarden in their prime. Actually had to stand slightly behind the stage by the bar as I thought my ears were going to explode😂 Glad you fellas are feeling better!

  9. Really liking how Rodrigues is not afraid to hang on to / skate with the puck.

  10. This game showed you how much they miss Nathan MacKinnon. Why do the Avs always get players who are short? Malgin only 5'9". Why putting MacDonald in the lineup and then Bednar lets him play less than 2 minutes? If he has no confidence in him, why not bringing Foudy instead. For me that is VERY bad coaching!!! It is like Bednar tells him, I could get another guy from the Eagles to play for you but I will show who is in charge. As if he handles a little child, I hate that. The comment on Foudy, why then let Kaut play? There is a better chance for snow in LA than Kaut playing better and scoring. This behavior fits the stupid trade of Dryden Hunt after being only 2 months with the Avs.

  11. Great game, very good goalie matchup. Makar is too honest for his own good. Class act! That game winner in the shootout was a beauty!

  12. Glad you're back! I thought that the show was canceled and I was going "No!! Don't Do That!!!
