@Golden Knights de Vegas

Pourquoi les Golden Knights se débattent-ils si mal à la maison ?

La Forteresse a perdu sa réputation d’endroit difficile à jouer cette saison. La partie étrange est que Vegas a un excellent bilan routier. 1. 2 shutouts Chicago 2nd game of the season then Anaheim in their 9th game. Funny enough both at home for Thompson

  2. The Knights usually start off with their 4th line to get “energy”. But I feel that they should start off with the misfit line because they’re the only ones that actually set up a lot of chances and get the defense scrambling.

  3. easy solution, just take the whole team on a bus ride before the game, fixed!

  4. It's been rough. I paid decent money for tickets to the Canucks – VGK game a few weeks back only to see them walloped at home. I'm hardly qualified to say what the issue is, but I can say from a spectator's point of view, the crowd at T-Mobile consistently has a large percentage of visiting team fans in attendance. It's to be expected given how big of a tourism draw Vegas is (and what diehard fan wouldn't love to wrap their favorite team's away game into their Vegas vacation?) but it does cut into the our 'home ice' vibe and advantage a good bit. Most notably when you've got a large contingent of fans shouting "Bruce there it is" or cheering other inside joke-type chants for the away team.

    Fandom aside, I do think the team probably puts a great deal of pressure on itself to deliver a performance at home. Maybe they try to get too fancy for the fans and when they're on the road they can just focus on gritty hockey instead of showmanship. This city loves their team, and I believe the team loves their city, but with that level of emotion involved, comes an expectation and perhaps pressure to win that they might not feel on the road. Just one guy's uneducated ramblings though, others' opinions will vary.

  5. The true struggle of a Sabres fan is knowing that any time a video like this is made, its because the team in the title lost to Buffalo. 😔

  6. Not just Vegas, it’s the same with all the Pacific teams except for Calgary (ducks are equally trash). Must be a time zone thing….

  7. I have a idea. Being from Vegas. They need to put Stone Kessel and Eichel on the first line. That should be a pretty nice line 1. Maybe Stone as the C and Kessel and Eichel as the Wingers.

  8. Perhaps the coaches when they are halfway through a game in Vegas says to his team
    "If we win I'll give you a couple g's and you can go and gamble"

  9. This happens w teams @ home. When the opposition makes adjustments and the Golden Knights might b feeling the pressure of playing in front of their fans. It happens more often than given credit a lot of the time. Remember, teams that play historically r good @ home. Can go for stretches of a season or an entire season. W not being able to live up to the expectations of the fans in the Vegas area. All the teams in the NHL has a history of being good on the road or @ home. I've not seen a team b so dominant on the road and @ home in the same season. Even the recent Cup champions r not that dominant on the road and home. There r exceptions but it's not a common thing. I think.

  10. Why are the Canucks have been so crap all year that their own fans are yelling "Sell the Team!". Great title for your next video Shannon

  11. This video needs to be played in the team meeting before practice. It needs to be played in the dressing room before a home game. It needs to be played to management too.

  12. Maybe its because Vegas was playing over their heads after a pretty easy schedule at the beginning of the season. They rode the momentum for a bit but now with some key injuries and tougher teams on the schedule they are showing cracks and maybe aren't as elite as they think. Many of the players on the team are old or injury prone and I don't think they will be in the top 10 after the season is over.

  13. This is starting to feel like last season where we were leading the division for half of the season and then… yeah…

  14. Knights management shaped their team to be a dedicated quiet group…personalities that contrast greatly with the iconic Sin City. The Flower..David Perron.. Nate Schmidt ..Ryan Reaves..The exciters the animated guys..gone..This is a group that feels comfortable on the road.assembled focused and let’s do our winning on the quiet. Sounds odd..but it doesn’t surprise ..not everyone rises up with all the spectacle and fanfare.

  15. I think the 1st year Vegas was in the league a lot of the players were partying in Vegas the nights before the game and not playing good the night of the games. Now that they have been in the league for a few years, players aren't hitting the town like they did their 1st year.

  16. Golden Knight season ticket holder and I am having a hard time watching the games. The team, to me, has zero energy at home. It was so bad the other night (Rangers) the place was silent. The fans came in ready to go but the team showed nothing until Kolesar lit somebody up (2nd period). Vegas then seen to wake up a little. They scored shortly right after the hit. The fans were back into it. But a stupid penalty just before the end of the period ruined everything. It was a horrible game to watch as a Golden Knight fan. This has become a theme this year. No energy at all. They just seem soft. Reaves really gave them someone who would look over the players. Vegas doesn't have that anymore. They get out hit almost every game and aren't physical at all. That wasn't true the first couple years.
