The NHL is a huge business, and the woke thing is calculated to insulate against the crazy attack mob(obviously). But I think it will age very poorly. We are already seeing absurd and untenable scenarios where biological men are steamrolling womens tournaments, and even seriously injuring. Be whatever you want to be in your own mind, but it’s insane to think that changes objective facts. Reason and truth always prevails eventually, but it’s heart breaking to see the damage in the interim.
PS I think Petey and Hughes are roughly equal in talent. But I agree if we aim to keep a core piece, it would be Petey.

The irony of the non-rebuild is that the Nucks 3 best players were all drafted by the Nucks and all were drafted in the top 10. Yeah, let's retool and make the team as mediocre as possible so they have no shot of a top 10 pick and just finish outside the playoffs (or barely making it in so they could get eliminated in the 1st round)….

Pettersson said he would consider leaving if the team wasn't good enough by the time he signs his next contract..that didn't sound like he wanted to be here. Imo Hughes is the untouchable there's plenty of high scoring centers.

how do we not become a high priced mediocre team? imo petey's and the 4th line are fine, it is the other 2 lines that could use a better mix. i still think we need 2 better defensive defensemen and one offensive d-man looking forward i like hughes and bear. what additions could change the effectiveness of the canucks?

Canucks management won't be able to make any moves till after the New Year. Hope they can make some significant trades, cuz this current group of Canucks seem totally uninterested and lethargic.
