  1. It was around this time last year I started watching your channel. It's great to see you've kept at it, love the consistent content you give us!

  2. Hi Patrick this is Tim here and I think the Oilers should get Husso goalie because young and get Smith to teach him and the Oilers need to trade Yamamoto and Jesse to Philadelphia or New York!

  3. That was a mouthful! At this point I just want Keith gone. He was decent, but he's kinda holding us back. Maybe a Keith and prospect trade for Garland? I really hope Kulak stays. A Ceci/Kulak 2nd pairing would be very solid and effective. Trade Barrie for a shutdown top 4 defenseman (Soucy, Mayfield, Edmundsson) and that's it for defense. You know what, I'm gonna say Campbell will not be such a bad option if: we can lower his tag to at least 5.5m and if we can find a new goalie coach (along with some changes in our defense). Campbell isn't too old and he was a number one starter, so his sample size is much bigger than Husso's. He was also teammates with Hyman in Toronto. With all the rumours about Mikheyev and trades between Edmonton and Toronto, I think a Campbell acquisition will be likely. Pls stay away from Georgiev. Mid size contract? He's going to be a Koksinen 2.0

  4. I'd sure hate to see Edmonton's gains this year evaporate due to cap issues. I think if they can get anyone decent for JP, I say go for it. Husso would be my choice for goalie (if actually available) over Campbell and Georgiev. We might have to accept a step back this year without Kane.

  5. I know I have always voted on trading Puljujarvi but after considerable thought into his analytics, it comes down to what the Team leaders have been talking about.
Yes, Puljujarvi has above average extended stats so I am now on the fence with him leaving. I do think what needs to happen is if he doesn't get traded, 1 of our better net front presence players needs to take him under his wing and teach him to become a pest in front of the net and develop his shot tipping, goalie screening skills and how to recover the rebound while being pushed around by the other teams defense. He's a big boy and can shrug off most of the opposition.
He's Young, strong and isn't quick to anger, so that would be a good fit if he wants to try filling that roll. Yamamoto, has been in that role and is fairly good at it but the bigger defenseman can man handle him out of crease edge fairly easily.
I don't think it would be quite so easy to get a determined JP out of that area. He could be groomed into being our Corey Perry type player.

  6. I would like to see a 3 way deal between Edmonton Detroit and Toronto. Jesse Pullijarvi Zack kassian Tyson Barrie and Tyler benson to Detroit and jack campbell justin holl and a 5th round draft pick back from Toronto

  7. Hi Patrick. I like Kane he reminds me of a player on the Edmonton oilers 2006 Stanley cup team # 27 George he was a big and tough guy on the team Kane plays the same way. What do you think about that Patrick. Andy.

  8. I hope they sign Campbell, I think since we have leafs players such as Hyman, Ceci, and Barrie he knows people here so it’d be a good fit and he will feel comfortable around the team way easier. And also a goalie duo of Campbell and skinner sounds awesome

  9. Campbell would be fantastic if they can make it work.

Sad about Jesse, love that guy. Maximum effort every shift, but a fresh start might be best for both parties.

  10. Unless it's a trade that really makes sense, I don't think Pulujarvi will be traded.

We still need a strong goalie; with or without some key forwards.
If we get a goalie without having to give up much it'd be awesome.

  11. I'd rather keep Barrie and bring a LD rookie from the farm in. I like Kulak, but the thing is Barrie reduces our fragility on the PP at a reasonable cost. He makes our 3rd and 4th lines more effective by supporting the attack too. I'm not sure what Kulak will go for, but if it's close to Barrie's salary then I don't think it's an upgrade. Of course if we can keep Kulak and sell Barrie for a 2nd and a NHL'er or something similarly juicy that's a different story. Like all things the details matter.

I also think Russel should be brought back. He's a great 7th D-man and his cap hit will likely be about 1Mil again. Can't really go wrong with him. Great tertiary leader too.

JP is great. He could be a keeper, but he isn't making it an easy decision for Holland. Holland is in a crunch for $$s and win-now and JP just is slow playing it big time. Dude you need to sell yourself, Holland can't do it for you. So I've come to peace at this point with a sale of JP. Lots of teams will like him I think, but expecting him to operate higher than the 3rd line isn't a good assumption despite all his analytic values. Could he crush? Yes 100%, but is it worth risking him walking to UFA waiting for it to maybe happen…no? He needs to be sold with 2 years RFA and then they'll get some value back.

  12. I have been an Oilers fan from the start, just want to say good-bye to big Archie Henderson. His love of hockey is obvious, and his eye for young talent is unmatched. See you on the flip side cousin. Always been proud of the big guy.

  13. I wish fleury would come over but I know he won’t jus like every other good goalie Campbell sucks so does husso well the games I watched when they played the Aves. But these is jus my opinion we want a cup already and we got 4 years to do so before mcdavid leaves us

  14. Not trading for georgiev is going to ruin this team. Because kuemper is not going to sign in Edmonton and at best maybe samsonov will. That's all.
