There are also reasons the hire is strange: Maurice also has the most regulation losses of any coach in NHL history, has missed the Cup playoffs far more often than he has made them, has only been to the Stanley Cup Final once and the NHL Conference Finals twice, and never won a championship.
There’s just no words anymore. Zito and Maurice have killed every ounce of what the team was last season. I get that it wasn’t gonna be the same but man this is unacceptable. Where is Bennet, Tkachuk, Reino? Feels like I’m watching the early 2000’s Panthers but this time there’s zero cap space and zero draft picks. We’re behind the Sabres and the Canadiens bro. I had an epiphany. pLaYoFf HoCkEy is losing winnable games and blowing 3rd period leads. Maurice isn’t doing anything different. He’s just taken the way the panthers have played in the playoffs and adapt it to the regular season. It’s honestly genius.

It’s hard not to be redundant because we’re all on the same page about our coach but… Denisenko had a strong first period and then didn’t really play much after that. Only logged 8 minutes. Kiersted 6 minutes while Marc Staal gets 20 min. Everything this guy does is just asinine.
The Staal bros showed up tonight. Lundell looked great and fought, Lundell fought! Chucky rules! Bob looked great, again. Sasha was not there. Duke has not played a game this season
I’m frustrated too, but I’m still a fan and I’m tired of Miami nihilism. Do you think Boston can maintain this pace? Did Tampa look bad early season last year? Early season does not matter nearly as much as late season.
