I witnessed a crazy overtime goal in Colorado against the Habs tonight. In OT, the Canadians shot the pick and it just squeezed by Georgiev. However, the Avs got to the pick in time to take it down ice and score. A very fun game to see in person.
We all know for sure Bergevin did everything on his power to make Galchenyuk a leafs, make him do the pass to Caufield and Suzuki to score the OT winner.
I understand the concept of getting the game over with, but this kinda shows how untraditional and busted 3-on-3 OT is. Too much space imo. If it was 4-on-4, that would be 10x better.
I was at the San Jose Vs. Colorado game and the place erupted when it went in! There were some sharks fans by us and they looked so defeated it was amazing haha
Dan Boyle putting the puck into his own net for the Sharks against the Avs in the playoffs was one of the most brutal endings to a game I have ever seen: SJ absolutely DOMINATED that game but just couldn't get one past COL. It was literally comical the number of grade-A++++ chances they had that didn't end up in a goal, which led to 0-0 going into OT.
They won the series and Boyle even got the 1st goal early in the next game, but man was that game 3 ending just BRUTAL lol.

Mike Smith always has an honourable mention in every goalie-related compilation in the NHL.
Wish I could see what year these games were in, would be curious how much it costs them to make those mistakes
