  1. Byfield is unable to be called up due to the NHL Holiday Roster Freeze now in effect until Wednesday, December 28.

  2. Merry Christmas to all the Kings Fans and to all those who love the NHL. And to the Garcia Family as well.

  3. It's obvious to me they aren't calling up Byfield because they think he needs everyday reps and it's a numbers game in LA and there aren't enough spots for him. Kupari is a 22 year old 2018 draft pick and Byfield is barely 20 and a 2020 pick. Although I still think Kupari needs more defensive seasoning because he has made some bad defensive decisions in the past.

  4. I would bet Clarke isn't coming back after the world jr's. Not unless they can take a trade partner for Walker.

  5. Regarding Byfield remember in the AHL there is much more time for development and coaching where as in the NHL it’s usually play and recoup. I for one would like him to spend time learning how to be a true professional.

  6. Congrats on 100! 🤟🏻
    Keep up the good work.
    Appreciate your coverage and insight.
    Have a lovely holiday. ❄️

  7. Only the Capitals gave him a decent look where he did reasonably well to be a NHL goalie, at least as a #2 goalie in the NHL. While Copley won't be a Roy or Hasek, he might be the best of the Kings' 3 goalies; we shall see. He does indeed give the Kings the best chance to win thus far. I am rooting for him!

  8. There is no rule that precludes a team from having 3 goalies on the team. Unlikely but I wouldnt want Copley have to pass waivers cuz he won't pass it; a team will claim him. Re: QB, the Mayor, John Hoven, has been stating that the Kings don't intend to bring him up until after Christmas. John doesn't say why they have kept him down there for so long. I infer the reason is for QB to prove consistency or they want himvto be hungrier?

  9. Copley I believed would start ten to twenty games for LA as I believed was best Goalie on Roster with The CAlTanic somebody I never believed in. Quick is basically what if Chris TErreri Won 2 Cups with Devils instead of Brodeur taking over. Problem for those who think LA can play 4 or 5 RHD. Mediocre Mikey or Edler are Fringe 7th D-men at Best. Knights for example their RHD Whitecloud or Pietreangelo are top 4 or 6 on any team. Then all their other D-men are better than Kings Theodore, Hague, Martinez, McNabb. Hence you can't play guys 25 to 30 minutes like a Kimmo Timonen or Suter. If CAlQuick were not abysmal how would Copley be putting up Vastly Better Numbers? Cryfield belongs in ECHL will get called up in Feb before Dustin Brown night. Clarke specially if playing Hobbit Spence should return to OHL then a year in AHL as even Helga Grans more NHL ready. Once I saw Cal had ability to get sent into AHL it would be done sooner not later.

Ducks one of worst teams in NHL along with Sharks. Long as can win enough to stay in top 3 or 4 of Pacific should make Playoffs then lose in first round rinse and repeat. If he plays well enough in AHL then LA can trade him retain half salary as 2.5M is common backup rate. AHL games are meaningless there no value or pressure in playing there so I don't get excited over stats people who failed in NHL do there. TJ Tynen has 14 goals 98 points would be 3rd Line Center if had Shred of Talent hehe. Spence is this years Frk or some others where Reign fans believe can play or perform in Major Leagues only held down as mismanaging or so. Though Lizotte is a liability waste would even prefer Helenius 6'6 there. Unless can get Bjugstad I am not expecting much. Ben Scrivens The Professor another great story. He reminds me a bit of Turcotte that undersized goalie if have his name right. He cleared Waivers at start of season Pheonix so can still send him down without that until is on roster x amt of days or starts. Unless Quick gets injured I don't believe Cal will get back up. I figured JQ would be empty so wanted to trade for LHSD last year like Carson Soucy or others to try to win then. Instead used 11M dollar mistake as excuse to phone it in?

If Byfield was able to play 15 minutes as 3rd line center or PK he would be in NHL. He is not good enough with his slouched over soft play and stick. JAD is not waiver exempt has 3 Goals while Clarke loaned to Canada keeps you short another roster player. Quantum Bust is Sickly Injury Player can't trust him when have Roster Freeze. LAK better without QB are doing just fine. Maybe if he played like a man who was 6'5 using body for some physical play it would involve him being starter over Lizotte who is 5'6? Guy drafted 2nd Overall can't even beat out an undrafted Hobbit ;)? Bobblefield does not have talent or ability dude so what is this fantasy of him not being on team he isn't good enough to play on? Got enough LHS guys who can't score goals or lack size skill and speed. For him at 20 to be sick this often leads me to believe he has poor diet hygiene other things hindering him developing as a person. Kraken I wish we had Matty as that is legit 2nd Overall team. If I was running team I'd trade QB for somebody who can play hockey haha. The Gabe still leads team in goals but stuck on 4th line barely playing 15 minutes a game. Kings made mistake burning year of Byfield ELC so best to leave him in minors a few years. Maybe he can help sell some over priced tickets and beer :)? He lacks skill to handle the role drafted to fill its like Ryan Reaves production without the positive aspects. Simmonds will make HOF for what did on ice while this dud will for where was drafted hehe. Once teams make trades it will be clear who is Top of Heep or Bottom of Barrel soon.

  10. What’s up with Vilardi ? He’s only scored 3 goals in last 18 games I think ? So sad, cuz I thought he had really turned the corner at the beginning of the season and was so hot !

  11. Tmac is doing exactly the right thing by continuing to play Copley. He needs to keep riding the hot hand without question. The team plays way better right now with his calm demeanor

  12. My friend, you talk a ton, but don't say much. Talk like a Kings fan. Go deep, don't repeat yourself with talking points. Your show would be awesome. Us die hard Kings fans new Peterson was a dumpster fire before the season. We knew Quick was done. That's how Goalies work. You find a guy that can save around 900, and the Kings strengths take care of the rest. Peterson is a back-up at best. He obviously has a confidence problem. He's been good in the minors, because he's confident in the minors. Copley is a technical kind of guy. Exactly what you need when your team is all over the place on defense. Who does Byfield replace right now? 3 in a row with this line-up. Keep it until it implodes.

  13. I don't want to see Byfield back on the Kings until he shows consistency in the AHL.

He should be DOMINATING in the AHL, scoring multiple points per game EVERY game.

  14. Hoping a playoff team will desperately have a need to take Petersen off the Kings' hands.

  15. Has it been noted The coincidence putting arvidson on the third line.. Lizotte, Arvidsson, Kaliyev…
    LAK line

  16. Brandt Clarke back on the Kings this year…no.

Talented AF but he's not physically ready to withstand the rigors of the NHL yet, especially during the drive to the playoffs and the playoffs themselves.

Kings need to bring in some size, physicality, and experience.

Good job by the Kings getting him lots of bigs exposure while not burning that 1st year.

  17. My anxiety has dropped significantly with Copley's calmness between the pipes as compared to Quick and Peterson.
Brownie went a year too long; Is Quick in the same boat? REALLY hoping he gets his game back to finish off what could/should be his last year.

  18. Copley makes more money in the NHL. I'd be highly motivated as well. Could be the difference between $80k and $800k.
