You can be the most talented player in the world, but if you have a SERIOUS ATTITUDE PROBLEM within your leadership group like DRAISATL,NURSE,MCDAVID HAVE you wont win ANYTHING. IF YOU WANT TO WIN …you go out and acquire players like HYMAN and so far KANE (atleast so far) Watch draisatl ,nurse and mcdavid with the media.DRAISATL acts like a complete premadona touching his face and hair like a million times during interviews.WRONG ATTITUDE WRONG RESULTS. Holland is not smart enough or is oiler management to realize the bigger picture.They have a decent supporting cast now with hyman barrie kane and RNH is good as well,but that is not the bigger issue.
Ethan Bear had an excellent game tonight. He and Quinn Hughes faced Connor and Leon all game…They did great 5 on 5 except for the pp goal, but Bear wasnt on the ice for that goal….I dont know why the Oilers didnt keep Bear instead of Bouchard..

I think a lot of there problem is there system that they play. There is no layers of defense. Panic in there own end all the time. If the d just played there basic position. The d tries to do too much. The forwards barely help out. Just think of a team like Boston. There whole team plays with layers. You have wingers busting there ass to cover for there defense same as there c. The defense rotate like a 5 man unit. As long as this team wont play NHL caliber hockey they will never be cup winners. When my 13 yr old ponits out the glaring defensive lapses again and again its bad. My son watches EDM to learn how not to play defense and I'm not joking about that. His coach has all of the defensemen watching EDM. The coach also has the forwards watching Boston on how to play a two way game. I believe this team is fixable this season with 2 or 3 moves. One bigger move and one or two small moves. We need to settle down the D core so they don't panic and over defend. Have the forwards put pressure on there forwards so they don't have time and limit there options. I would make a move for VLADISLAV GAVRIKOV and yes I would pay the high price with an extension. Then I would add a 3rd pairing RD. I would also grab a RW that can play playoff style hockey. I don't give a crap about this years draft picks and yes I know it will be a good draft so the picks will have higher value.
It's time for a coaching change
It’s simply put bro, defence wins championships, and the Oilers don’t have it, if our defence core could just stay at home and simplify there game and quit trying to do to much, the offence will take care of itself, it’s simply put we have to many offensive defenders and to many players that do fly by ‘s rather than taking the body, Merry Christmas Tyson , let’s hope Holland is going to do something in February like he mentioned on Oilers Now 😎
