  1. At this point, I’m sure they just pre recorded all this for content and ignored all the feedback about the loud, crappy, repetitive music

  2. Ill give RW to Hemsky still. Yeesh to our depth, but at least most of them are currently on the team!

  3. Steven, really? Nuge was 1st overall in 2009? Now you are neither a leafs fan nor an oilers fan

  4. What is it about a calendar that confuses some people? Do we have to have this conversation every decade? Its not the end of the decade yet. The year has to pass first for the decade to be over. There was no year "0 AD". Which means the first year AD was AD 1. That year had to pass first before the second year began. Next just say to yourself as each year changes to the next that year still has to pass in time before it is actually completed. Pretty simple really. A decade is just ten years so at any point we could always say a decade has passed by, but if we are being accurate about which year we are in and which decade has been "completed", the 2010's have not yet been completed. Come back next year people. 2020 is just starting. Only 9 years have been completed this decade.

  5. Right wing: Eberle
    Centre: Draisaitl
    Left wing: Hall
    Defense: Klefbom and Nurse
    Goalie: Brossoit

  6. I may be wrong, but aren't both of these all-decade teams what the Oilers would look like fi Chiarelli didn't make any moves?

  7. Nice 👍 list again guys. As an Oilers ⛽️ fan, yes it’s been hard to watch for the most part this past decade. Well let’s be totally honest, it’s been tough to watch since the early 90’s. But especially since the 2006 run. I swear it was like the curse of Pronger. When he broke his 5 year contract and demanded a trade that sent him to the Ducks 🦆 and they won a Stanley Cup 🏆 in 2007, it was like getting stabbed again kind of like when Gretzky and Messier got traded and left to the Kings 🤴🏼 and Rangers 🏔 back in 1988 and 1991. What happened next after that? 10 years of pain and suffering for Oil Country. All of the picks and best laid plans seemed to never be enough and never work out in any complete way, shape or form. The complete and utter mismanagement of the team for the past decade plus has been utterly disappointing and disheartening to say the least. It’s pretty sad 😞 to see what’s transpired for so long. But winning the draft lottery and luckily 🍀 landing McDavid in 2015 signalled a change for most fans. The Oilers ownership group hired Chiarelli and MacLennan to finally right the ship 🚢. We finally made the playoffs in 2017 and actually won a round beating the Sharks 🦈 in 6 games and losing to the Ducks 🦆in 7 games. 1-0 in that game 7. Literally one ☝️ goal 🥅 and game win away from being in the conference finals vs the Preds 🐺 . The hypothetical Oilers ⛽️ vs Sens 🤺 All Canadian 🇨🇦 final was actually just a couple breaks from becoming reality that spring. This was seen by many as a big step forward for the team, organization and City 🌃. We had finally tasted some success for the first time in 11 years. I really thought 💭 at that point that the Pronger curse was over. But then we had another 2 bad seasons, essentially taking 1 step forward and 2 steps back. This was and still is very difficult to deal with for everyone involved. Especially now since we’ve got arguably 2 of the most prolific scores and offensive players in the league in McDavid and Draisaitl. The subsequent dismissal of Chiarelli and MacLennan last year was something that was needed once again, but really everyone was and still is sick 😷 of seeing all of these changes in management and coaching. The hiring of Holland and Tippett was the right move and I’ll be honest I was a bit surprised that those 2 guys would take on this job. Obviously 🙄 it’s a monumental challenge to build a competitive and winning team in this market. I give them a lot of credit for stepping up to the plate and possibly actually making this team good once and for all. But in the end it comes down to the players on the ice to go out and change the culture around. I agree with most of your picks and let’s face it Oilers fans, it’s been dismal but luckily 🍀 we did land a generational talent to build a team around. I was at the game last night with my Dad in which we built up a 6-0 lead late in the 2nd, only to give most of it away in the 3rd. Letting the Rangers dominate and outplay us to the point of coming back to make it 6-5 with 3 mins left and 2 goals away from blowing the biggest lead in NHL history. My goodness it was really hard to watch. And my best rational hockey 🏒 thinking 🤔 leads me to believe that we’re just way too fragile as a team right now. Especially on defence and in protecting leads and being able to shut down games like good teams do. With that, I’m hoping for a turnaround and much better year in 2020. If we can play like we did in the first 6 weeks of the season again, then there’s a chance that we’ll be competing for a playoff spot down the stretch. But if we revert and digress to what’s been happening in the last month or so, (and in the 3rd period last night), then it’ll most certainly be another sad 😔 and disappointing season in Oil Country. That will mean that we’ve missed the playoffs in 13 of the last 14 years, which would be the worst streak in NHL history. If this happens, I’m not sure 🤔 if McDavid and Draisaitl etc. will even want to play here anymore. Would you? Anyways, that’s my hockey 🏒 rant. I’m sure that everyone feels the pressure of this season. Let’s hope that they can once again take a step forward. Not a 3rd step back. For the love ❤️ of God, how much longer can the fan base wait and keep patient with this franchise? Happy 😃 New Year’s 🥳 Everyone! All the best in 2020. 🙂

  8. it depends on how you classify Draisailt because until this year for the past 2/3 years he was a C/RW so in having him as RW i would go
    Hall-Mcdavid-Draisailt
    Klefbom-Nurse
    Talbot/Dubnyk

  9. Draistle
    Mcdavid
    Hemsky
    Nurse
    Shultz
    Dubnyk

Would probably be my team but nurse over klef kinda is iffy for me but thought if I’m taking Shultz on the right I want nurse for the physical aspect
And dubnyk is my choice only if I get to take him at his prime??

  10. Scrivens had some pretty good competition for best single game. Gagne had an 8 point night too! Both were absolute crazy nights!
