Not sure I agree with the qualifier (I think it'd be more fun to select players when they were at their peak AS A LEAF…not all time peak). So if I pick players based on their best years as Leafs it'd be something like:

G: Cujo (maaaybe Potvin)
But if it's all time player's peak regardless of who they played for, then it changes things!

I would choose Frank Mahovlich on left wing he still holds the record for goals on with 48 for a left winger. Matthews at Centre with 3 time 50 goal scorer Rick Vaive on right wing . Borje Salming and Al iafrate on defense Housley was solid offensively but not close to Salming as an all around defensmen Iafrate was the most talented <Leaf defensman the Leafs ever had. He was huge could skate like wind and a rocket of a shot and add in superb offensive skills

Play the centers on the wing. Francis played powerplay with Mario. Sundin played some wing. Team Canada is not afraid to take 10 centers , not that big a deal. Good discussion boys.
Anybody picking Matthew's over Sundin is delusional. In today's league Sundin would run circles around Matthew's and in the '90s/2000's, Matthew's would get crushed by anybody. Matthew's trying to go against Domi, Ray, etc.? Lmfao.
