Happy holidays Gil. Man, I don’t know what it was tonight. We looked so fast and played with so much pace and conviction. And against a legit team like the Penguins. This team drives me nuts.
Hudson Fasching has been a solid call up from Bridgeport , hope he stays with the team for the rest of the season
HI Gil. Isles dominated pens tonight. And anytime pens with their arrogant, pampered, and cocky holier than thou fan base lose its a good night. Isles so night and day. Can look lousy losing twice to az. yet can beat cats and pens back to back 5-1. Isles gained on pens yet with caps winning remain out of playoffs. And one home game left vs. last place bj's before seattle/western canada trip.
And this is a case of youthful enthusiasm rubbing off on the old vets that suddenly makes them skate and look faster than they really are. raty, fasching, wotherspoon-even holmstrom-all fresh off of ahl call-up giving Isles a fresh new look. Too bad lou believes a roster must contain as many 30 and older stale players you can find to be successful like pens and caps do every season. A true nhl roster with success has a balance of vet talent with youth mixed in. Lou needs to get that memo. Good Isle win and good show once again Gil. LGI!!!
Hi Gil, I was at the game and it was outstanding. Isles were dominant & at no point did it swing to favor Penguins other than a quick goal. The young guys looked great. Crosby was basically invisible tonight & that means we did something right. On a side note there were a lot of Pittsburg fans in attendance making noise. Fortunately isles shut down that enthusiasm fast. I’m going to sleep a happy fan tonight. Enjoy !
Brock has had a very solid season. He leads the team in goals, tied for the team lead in points, and has a plus-9 rating.
Having Fasching and Witherspoon up gives the Islanders some fresh blood. Too many older players on this team. You need a mix.
Was at the game with my girlfriend. Got her tickets for Christmas. 7 rows back from the boards near the face off circle on the side they shoot twice at. Section 106. Her favorite player is lee mine is barzy and we both got to see 2 goals from our favorites. It was a great night for us especially since last time we went was against St. Louis a couple weeks ago. Keep up the great podcast !
