RIVALRIE de retour ? Sharks de San José contre Los Angeles Kings

Les Sharks de San Jose et les Kings de Los Angeles ont été rivaux pendant une grande partie des années 2010, mais cela s’est depuis estompé ces dernières années. 1. Until the Kings and Sharks are good again id say the rivalry isn't as big. Were not necessarily bottom dwellers in the division but nowhere near contenders. Cant wait for the next postseason that features both LA and SJ

  2. Interesting future for Sharks on the horizon. February road trip looks tough enough, and if more games added into break February will be re-shaped. In March, there are many division games and that appears when the Sharks' fate will be primarily decided. But the schedule could be re-worked and make April even more crucial.

Comparing goalies, I like the Sharks (Reimer, Hill) versus LA Kings (Jonathan Quick, Cal Petersen) or Anaheim (John Gibson, Anthony Stolarz). Hotter goalies may decide the whole season rivalries, but it is really hard to predict injuries to goalies also. So maybe we have to look into goalie depth further.

It is almost certain there will be suspense in getting into playoffs and suspense in the playoffs because there seems to be greater parity among teams when you compare 50 man rosters among teams. NHL teams have similar depth and can cope with larger rosters. I think that the Sharks have had 32 different players with time on the ice this season, not sure if Sawchenko counts sitting on bench as back up. Relying on 32 different players means much harder coaching and juggling of roles on the team. Coaches with more fighter instincts in them will rise to the top during this season's final moments. Boughner will make a difference in the end and beat Todd McLellan and Dallas Eakins in this regard.

It would be good to hear how William Eklund is doing also and if it is possible he will join team in the playoffs in May or not.
