  1. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again…..we can’t pass and have no puck control…this is our biggest flaw

  2. Eniotnacram95

If it wasn’t for a Suzuki shootout goal vs Calgary and Montembault’s stellar performance vs Arizona, the Canadiens would be on a 9 game losing streak.

    Sure looks like it

  3. ghg1999

Looks like it was a bit late, but the tank seems to have arrived full steam ahead

Some of these losses recently are reminding me of ducharmes last days, these guys just seem completely uninspired. A serious hockey team wouldve also done something about this powerplay long ago too

Almost half way. Ugh, tank life ain’t for the faint of heart.

    That one sucked serious ass.

That was like going for a tinder date and getting catfished by Danny devito.

    *BAD*

    – Not really going to go through nearly every player on the team but generally a total crappy game. I get they aren’t as good or anywhere remotely as talented as Tampa but it would have been nice to watch something resembling an NHL hockey game. Weirdly, Bedard tearing up a lowly German team was somewhat more entertaining.

    – Speaking of the World Jr. is Slafkovsky’s minutes up here in the NHL really worth not sending him? I am of the opinion he should be there. It’s not about how he’s playing but I just don’t really see the benefit right now of leaving him here. Also, Slovakia has some really good players. Still has a ton to work on with his game as an 18 year old should and I can’t say I am a fan of using the NHL as a developmental league.

    – The last point goal was just bad. Turnover, then four guys watching the puck.

    – I remember looking at the Habs depth chart to start the year and thinking they may not be as bad as everyone says but if even one key player (Monahan and yes even Savard) goes down oh boy. There just is no depth on this team and it shows with injuries.

    – Armia on the top line idk I completely don’t get it. Dach being in that spot just makes a massive difference for the top line.

    – Suzuki play lately hasn’t been good.

    *GOOD*

    – Guhle with a goal to break the shutout.

Are we at the airing of grievances part of the season yet?

  7. lacoupe25

Suzuki’s faceoff performance in recent games is a concern.

Armia is deadweight. Put Slaf on first line already.

Keep the youth movement on D.

    Give Monty more starts.

  8. Deadmanlex45

Y’all wanted tanking well this is what tanking with this team is. Miserable play, no development and getting caved every game.

  9. Acidraindrops22

We need Chicago to start winning some fucking games

  10. dadoudelidou

Ok i’ll try to say 3 positive points here and skip the bad stuff, lots will be said in that regards…

    – Eddy was Steady, he plays well since a few games, even has a primary assist on Ghule’s goal.

    – Allen kept us in the game, it would have been a blood bath without him

    – Slaf made some nice plays in there, slowly but surely he’ll get there. Super stoke to see him become a great hockey player.

  11. Mithrandir_42

Keep in mind that everyone plays worse against tampa, they’re just that good

  12. defector-antal

Why are we so incapable against Tampa?

  13. HabsChronicles

    No shutout for vasilevskiy 😁

  14. confidenceisKi

We honestly did not play that bad, we hit a few posts and Vasy made some excellent saves it’s not as bleak as people are making it sound. We’re missing arguably our top Dman (Savard) this year and our best face off guy and our clear cut 2nd best Center in Monahan

  15. juliusceasarsalads

I didn’t watch tonight and from the sounds of it I was better off for it, Something about December really seems to bring out the worst in the Habs, it’s been like this for years December is almost always our worst month. Seasonal depression getting to the boys? Either way I’m stoked for the Ghoul to get another and to at least not be shut out by the Bolts. Every L we take gets us closer to Bedard friends, and if we miss on him there’s a bunch of great prospects up at the top that we’ll be stoked to have join the club. Pain and process now, Cups and Cheers later 🙏

I thought we brought up Barron to play him on the PP instead of Wideman. He didn’t get a single second of a powerplay that went 0/5, like every other night. I don’t get it.

  17. MontrealMUFC689908

Guy Carbonneau just gave a not-so-subtle jab at MSL and his « don’t pick on the same guys » approach in *L’Antichambre*. Something radical has to happen in order to put an end to this very bad trend.

As I pointed in the match thread, I just have it against those so-called « players’ coaches ». A coach is paid to be the commander of that boat. If I only wanted cheerleaders, I would hire cheerleaders without giving them coaching duties.

  18. meowpeh

Let’s recall the best PP D in the AHL but let’s not use him on our struggling PP. Go figure

  19. itsdajackeeet

There just seems to be no urgency in their game. It’s very noticeable on the pp. everyone in the arena knows they’re going to do that drop pass shit to Suzuki coming late and he’s coming later and later. Just dump the fucking puck in once in a while and play like you need, really need, to score not like you’ve got a 10 min pp with all the time in the world. At this point they need to try something different on the pp and by that I mean no Drouin or Hoffman. Ffs put a body out there like Slaf and tell him to park his ass in front of the goalie.
