  1. WOWsa!! Leafs fined for league violations–OK, but , it seems a little silly over a couple of hours to keep on schedule bodyclock-wise. NHL needs to fix this problem, it shouldn't exist.

  2. Leafs complaining about travel… lolz. I'm sure the miles that they put on every year is in the bottom 1/3 of the league.

  3. I am starting a daily mock trade and I see if you think it would be a deal or no deal I got this from Oh Nyquist

    Mock trade:

To Detroit: 2023 2nd,2023 3rd and Eli Afanasyev

    To Nashville:Tyler Bertuzzi

  4. kaner to Hurricanes. Domi to flyers. Tazer to kings. Lafferty to Sabres. Larkin to islanders.

  5. I agree with your idea to schedule post Christmas games geographically close to cut travel. Owners are always moaning about travel costs anyway. I think NYR should trade for Kane now, not wait until the deadline. They need a serious jumpstart now, not end of February. I also agree that Toews likely to wind up with the Avs, to try and fill a huge hole at 2C.

  6. what's really impressive about domi this season is that he is doing really well at the face-off dot. the hawks also have murphy, mccabe, j.johnson, and tinordi (johnson and tinordi's aav are both cheap) available for teams in search of help on the blue line. not to mention, athanasiou and khaira could be nice low-key additions for teams trying to make a post-season push.

  7. Reff don't get in trouble for bad calls my friend was a nhl reff they can do anything they want and refs do have favourite teams and make calls to benefit that they are crooked and my friend says this who is a ref

  8. I'm sorry, I really don't like that the Leafs broke a rule there. But, that rule is just dumb. Firstly, the fine amount means it is completely meaningless. If I'm Toronto I take the team fine every single time, if it means the ability to stay on track with morning skates or game day morning practice. Way too important for a team that hadn't played since the 22nd to get their legs moving again and get properly prepared for a game that was important for momentum coming off a break. Really easy for a loss there to snowball into a bad 2 or 3 games coming off the break and a weak start to the next part of the season. It sticks in my craw to agree with a team that broke a league rule (even if I grew up in, and cheer for Toronto, yep bring on the hate), but when the league institutes a rule like this that punishes away teams by taking away their ability to follow standard gameday routine especially when trying to round back into form, it's a scheduling flaw that needs to be addressed.

As for Keefe's fine, again if I'm the Leafs brass I'm laughing all the way to the bank to pay this one. Having a ref let a pick go, when he called one on you in last year's playoffs is enough to get the blood going. But, more importantly, a guy like Aston-Reese, who has been an important presence on a Leafs team that's had trouble keeping guys healthy takes a brutal stick in the face and there's no call? 100% of the time I'm letting that team of officials know they messed up. There was a game not too long ago where Calgary got 3 penalties late and lost in O.T. and all the non-Leaf fans were saying the Flames got "jobbed" and the Leafs didn't deserve the powerplays (The Leafs apparently get every single call, in a grossly unfair way, despite finishing 21st in the league in Powerplays per game last year. 18th this year in small sample, but they are only ahead of Montreal in their division. The other 6 teams in their division are 6 of the top 7 spots, the lone exception being Edmonton in 5th ahead of Tampa in 6th and Florida in 7th). But 2 of those 3 Flames' penalties were sticks in the face! (the other was a failed poke check that turned into a trip by the Flames' goalie). If the other team is routinely getting their sticks up on your players and you're the coach on a team that has injury issues, you've got to make sure you're being heard, if that takes a fine, so be it. Pat Burns, Mike Keenan, Scotty Bowman, the coaches with heart from the pre-video replay era would let you know when you messed up even when they knew they couldn't get the call. It's about keeping your players safe.

  9. Toews could happen but Kane probably not… if rangers not make the playoffs they are a wildcard team rn.. Kane could probably be gone to New Jersey or LA

  10. Yes to Jonathan Toews to move out of the Chicago Blackhawks he needs a new start to a new team he's done in Chicago. They won't ever win a cup again for atleast 10 years lol

  11. Mock trade:

    To Columbus: Bo Horvat
    JT Miller
    Luke Schenn

    To Canucks: 2023 1st rd
    2024 2nd rd
    Kirill Marchenko
    Jakub Voracek
