Après une défaite décevante la veille au soir à Long Island, les Penguins sont rentrés chez eux pour affronter les Red Wings de Detroit dans la seconde moitié de matchs consécutifs à la sortie des vacances. La période d’ouverture a été fantastique pour Pittsburgh : Drew O’Connor, Jeff Carter et Jason Zucker (deux fois !) ont chacun marqué, donnant à l’équipe locale une avance de 4-0 dans le premier entracte. Au milieu de la période, Detroit a rapproché un peu les choses, avec Larkin et Veleno qui ont marqué des buts. Dans la dernière période réglementaire, Berggren a marqué avec 5 minutes à jouer pour amener les visiteurs à moins d’un… puis l’ancien joueur des Penguins David Perron a égalisé les choses pour son nouveau club. En prolongation, Walman a marqué pour les Red Wings à peu près au milieu de la période supplémentaire. L’avantage numérique des Penguins est allé deux contre deux dans la défaite. Jeff Carter a obtenu sa 400e passe décisive en carrière sur le deuxième décompte de Jason Zucker. Selon Penguins PR, Carter est maintenant le 100e joueur de l’histoire de la LNH à enregistrer 400 buts et 400 passes décisives au cours de sa carrière. Until we get a STARTING goaltender we won’t be winning the cup…. We unfortunately have two backups… we haven’t had a first string goalie since Fleury.

Sorry but once that game was over I would have had all of them ‘superstar’s’ including on the ice skating for 2 hours no pucks. Anyone not happy with that, pack your stuff and get out.

Just had a 8-9 game winning streak so now is about the time where the pens drop 7-8 in a row, haven't had an ounce of consistentsy since the 17 season , the ride may be coming to an end boys
