Rielly is an outstanding offensive D-man who I wish had absorbed a bit more defensive acumen from playing with Hainsey & Brodie, specifically as to how you gap up & play tighter D in your own zone. He has, in my view, been generally sub-par in his own zone which is a disappointment given his agility, size & strength. At 6'1" & 222 lbs I want more physicality than he usually provides. He does amp it up in the postseason, but I still want more.
Some of the people on need a brain , am just dumbfounded on some of the comments. Arm chair coaches .

Love reilly. But this team has been playing stellar defensively. And unfortunately defense is not Reilly strength. He needs to buy into this defensive style like everyone else has, and not be a liability out there. His offensive skill does not out way his lack of defensive ability.
