It’s hard to overcome a lineup like that — with home fans like that. You just need to eat the loss and hope for better next time.

  2. cappo40

Swept by Arizona again. Sorry, but we aren’t doing fuck all again this year.

  3. Bubblegumking1

The reason the division eludes the leafs is because of games like these. Not consistently beating the bottom feeders

  4. dchowchow

In before the Morgan Rielly slander.

  5. thebiggerdrewer

So glad Morgan Rielly is back

  6. senile-animal

Doom and gloom in this sub is nuts. Leave Reilly alone. First game back from a big injury. Goalies are regressing a bit. These games happen, move on. Don’t need to sell the farm because of a bad game against a bum team + the refs.

Obviously I’d love to see more from the big contracts but you can’t win em all. The team is still having a fantastic season, despite a slew of injuries.

Side note, the mullet arena stinks, the cameras couldn’t get sorted, and I’m not a fan of those Arizona jerseys. Also fuck the refs. Not to mention sportsnet makes me cringe, the panel sucks, the music they use sucks and betting ads can kick rocks. See ya’ll next game!

    Rant over

  7. Torcal4

Move over Boston, Arizona is our true obstacle to the Cup

  8. 1columbia

We pay this poverty franchise to beat us over and over

  9. Ryan0413

Shit effort, shit passes, shit camera, shit arena, shit game.

Well shit, I’ll see you all in two days

  10. noctisakashi

Sorry but Rielly is the player that’s always been their during the choking generation. Same shit different year, he is ok on offense but meh on D

  11. asheeponreddit

Mediocre game. Controlled most of the first 2 periods but got heavily punished for our mistakes (and a few of them were uuuuugly).

Oh well, hope Bedard likes a dry heat.

  12. dangerfloyd

So glad we play Tampa in the first round and not Arizona

  13. Otherwise_Volume2690

The 1st line needed to produce tonight. Matthews, needs to get back on his game just not himself this season.

  14. Spider-Fan77

    Let the doomposting commence!

I assume this sub is gonna make Rielly it’s new scapegoat despite the entire team playing like dogshit

  15. Gear4Vegito

I am not hitting some panic button and it is still a very small sample size but both Murray and Samsanov have not looked the best of late.

    * **Samsanov Last 3 Games:** .882 / .842 / .821
    * **Murray Last 4 Games:** .809 / **.947** / .895 / .846

  16. Neighbourhoods_1

fuck SN but at least they’re calling out that lighting

  17. Kinglokner16

Playing Tampa in R1 > Winning the division

    Tbh… JFKM

  18. djlista

Leafs lose to a powerhouse team. I mean they are the only team in the league to beat the top 3 teams and 4 if you count the defending champs

  19. BCharmer

Brian’s comic is the only good thing that’s going to come out of this dumpster fire of a game. What the fuck was that?

Good on Timmy for his apples.

    Our $$$$ players were horrendous.

  20. XPhazeX

    Scheduled loss was schduled.

I cant even be mad at losing to Arizona anymore.

I just want to know why they win 10% more of their games against us than they do average for the last 20 years.

59% vs an average of 48%.

Like what the fuck is it?

  21. HumbleTardigrade

Why the fuck do we always lose to this team man lmao

  22. PurpleSm0ke

Woooooooooooow the takes in the game thread are something else lmao

  23. ripDarkk

Embarrassing. Probably gonna get downvoted, but Murray has gotta make some saves to give us a chance. 3 goals on 17 shots, I know 2 were on the power play and one weak call by the refs. But it’s starting to be a trend for him.

  24. 30to40bees

honestly i can’t even be mad about this. the vibe was just off. i’m chalking this game up to the universe being weird.

bottom feeder team. Vince Vaughan being there for some reason. the colour correction guy hitting random buttons. the weirdest fringe case penalty reversal re-assignment. overall head scratching chaotic officiating. betting ads popping up and glitching during scrums. everybody falling all over the place.

    onto the next one.

  25. anthonyd3ca

You might blame Murray, you might blame Rielly, you might blame the top lines not scoring, but nothing was worse tonight than the lighting and cameras. That’s who I’m blaming.

  26. nthensome

Why did it look like the ice was blue?

Were the camera behind some kind of glass or something?

  27. Strategyboyz21

I wish we won, so I could trash this garbage arena in peace

  28. Ken Reed getting air time and then making fun of the lighting.

It’s his own companys production crew not calibrating their cameras, it’s not green in the arena.

  29. Rot_Dogger

Thanks for the sweet effort, Auston!
