I did that a lot in the minors. It works pretty well.
It was a nice goal but it’s nothing special. I’m a half decent shot on an amateur hockey team and I make goals like this periodically. It’s actually a major pet peeve of mine in hockey. So sick and tired of watching goalies not covering their damn short side post. If you play hockey, see a goalie doing this and have an opening, put it on net and make them more attentive to what they should be doing.

Being an Oilers fan I'm spoiled and accustomed to seeing a player do something amazing, so a lot of highlights don't impress me.. but The Thrill always delivers. Maybe it's the number

It's the stupid way the goalies play these days, always going to down to their knees. If he had just stayed standing, he wouldn't have let that in.
