Season defining win. Absolutely massive. Some thoughts:
– Mercer is a revelation. He has the potential to be a top 6 guy for a decade for us. Love his play this season.
– Bratt is absolutely slumping. Every time he touches the puck he looks lost. He has to fix that if he wants the money he can be worth.
– Hughes is a bonafide superstar. So is Nico. So is Dougie.
– Vitek is #1, and I’m tired of giving Mack chances after his play. Bring Akira back and revive the tandem that got us through the back half of the streak.
– Smith and Sevo, much to my eating crow, have been playing excellent recently.
– Okhotyuk has been amazing. He’ll make a great dman in the coming years, or a good trade piece.
– Haula is a bottom six piece, and needs to hit the third line when Ondrej comes back next week.
BEST PK IN THE LEAGUE
Fuck yeah boys. Great win. Hopefully can stabilize the play. Can’t wait for everyone to be healthy again.

Dano at the end of the broadcast with “Good stuff there Bill.” Like he didn’t just verbally abuse the refs for sixty minutes straight. I felt like I was sitting next to him at the game with a Bud Heavy what a champ

We killed nine penalties in one the stranger games I’ve seen by we won so it’s great

Refs need to be flogged. The boys showed up. Find a way to score. That’s it!
Dawson Mercer absolutely battles every shift. He doesn’t get enough credit for that. He’s fun to watch and really really grinds it out every time he’s on the ice.
One thing I saw that I didn’t like was right at the end before Hughes got the EN goal… there was a moment of him floating in the corner that could have ended up with the puck on Pittsburg’s stick. Glad he ended up with the puck, but it looked lazy and could have cost us.
Edit: Also I had to watch the Pens stream and their announcers are absolutely insufferable.

Amazing game-full team effort. Severson played about 30 minutes. VV was outrageous, amazing PK. And for the love of all things sacred, can Crosby please grow a real mustache? He looks like a 14 year old who finally hit puberty. I hate that guy
