    Happy New Year everyone

May god have mercy on our souls

Brutal game. We’ve regressed to where I think most of us thought we’d be this season. If we keep playing like this and get a top-5 and top-10 pick, we could be set from a longterm perspective.

Imagine two/three years from now a top-six of Suzuki, Caufield, Dach, and Slaf. Add to that two top 10 picks (if not Bedard/Fantilli, then Carlsson/Michkov/Smith/Dvorsky/Yager/Benson/etc.) and maybe Roy/Farrell/Mesar. The future looks very bright.

Ron McLean just said « Tanksgiving ».

We might be rebuilding but the recent shitty performance by this team is unacceptable. This is concerning for the coaching staff, they seriously need to do something about this

  5. Doughnut12

Caufield scored two goals and all which is cool but this is some of the worst hockey I’ve ever had the misfortune of seeing.

  6. HarryBalsaque

I legitimately feel bad for Marty. And I feel so sad for Caufield and Suzuki. Such good seasons individually.

  7. Minato_is_God

This is looking like the reverse of last season, instead of a good last 25 games surrounded by trash we’re getting a good first 25 games surrounded by trash.

  8. JourneyToArcana

Guys, I think we’re not very good.

Fitting way to end a shit year

All I can say is good riddance to 2022 and let’s hope 2023 has our boys finding that fire again that they showed early on this year

  11. Being a Saints FC fan & Habs fan this year has not been great for my health. At least Montreal can’t get relegated….yet..

9 Losses in the last 11 games, the Ducharme era Habs have arrived.

  13. bcgrappler

Someone should tell them that losing doesn’t need to be ABSOLUTELY FUCKING HORRIBLE.

  14. Puzzleheaded-Dingo39

Holy shit! I haven’t watched a game in a while because I knew we were bad, but Jesus Christ, this is beyond bad. Everyone should be embarrassed by this shit, good draft pick or not!

  15. defector-antal

Always the same thing lol. When the season starts the Habs are all over the ice, performing miracles, outscoring everyone, having fun and what not. Then the holidays approaches and it’s all downhill into oblivion lmfao. Rince and repeat for the last decade.

  16. mlcbmore

Seriously for seeing this in person Allen really did poorly tonight

  17. IcyChard4

Suzuki is right. Our team doesn’t have a defense and cannot compensate when we have injured players.

Other than Barron, who else is available in Laval?

    *BAD*

    – What can you really say? I’m fine with tanking now of course but rebuild tanking etc or not that can’t be acceptable. It’s bad hockey and just brutal all around.

    – The defense as a unit meaning each individual player on the back end forwards included are pretty lost right now.

    – In particular, Harris may need more seasoning in the AHL. I think he had a great start but imo has been struggling the most out of the rookie defense. That’s totally fine it isn’t that deep but I think he could use some time down there.

    – Habs have a lot of deadwood. We know the usual Wideman etc Armia but honestly Gallagher, whom we love, is really done. Major tough to swallow pills for myself included as the guy has given his all for the Habs.

    – Two things can be true: Bad defense and bad goaltending. Allen was bad and Montembeult should start more.

    *GOOD*

    – Caufield x2! Nice to have Cole back on the scoresheet in a really crappy game might as well get something good out of it.

    – Before the game was out of reach Anderson was engaged. Get that value up!

    – Drouin, I’m just talking about this game, was noticeable. Of course, this Drouin era is slowly coming to an end.

  19. Firthbird

The tank is back on the menu boys!

  20. xc2215x

Good for the tank and Caufield’s goal totals is what this game was.

  21. Acidraindrops22

Should have traded Anderson and Allen when there was still interest in them during the off season.

Nobody is trading for them now
