Réactions on Twitter are either that he’s too rough or that the CHL is too soft since some believe he didn’t deserve a 3 game suspension for this.

Don’t like that it was to the back of the opponents head, but that guy fucked with the goalie so I’d say it’s fair game

He’ll learn some more. I like him, but you can’t keep punching a guy when he’s down. He has a chance to succeed, though, as NHL D is mostly not D. Until the playoffs, which Montreal won’t see much of for 5+ yrs.
I’m tired of fans screaming « clean hit » after a player is almost put into a coma but getting all emotional over a goalie being given a little tap, but this was good.

People here are really enjoying this for some reason? It’s not like the opponent took a run at the goalie, he fell into him, and Mailloux proceeds to throw multiple punches into the back of his head. Not to mention Mailloux is 19, opponent is 16… not super courageous if you ask me.
