  1. Yeeeessssss the wait is over now relax and waiting patiently for hockey 🏒 sure time is flying by fast 💨 Let’s go oilers

  2. The ol boys club is disappearing, time to win some hockey games.

  3. Now we have to sign McLeod. I’d be fine if we let benson go and also do we really need Kessel? I’d rather go for subban and give him a 1-2 year deal worth 1.5 – 2.5 mil

  4. Oilers should trade Barrie for a cheaper top 4 shutdown defenseman, therefore clearing cap space for McLeod and Benson (Joel Edmundsson or Carson Soucy). Then, Edmonton should trade Foegele for a draft pick and we can use that to sign Kessel to 1 year. That way we can keep both PJ & Yamo, sign Kessel, give Benson a roster spot and improve our defense.

  5. Fyi we can go over10 percent if cap so we be fine if we cant move player out

  6. Still not a huge Yamo fan, but I would love for him to take this a prove me wrong. I hope they can somehow move all 3 of those guys and Benson, to bring in both a dman and Kessel if he is on the cheap. There is not a lot of time between now and training camp so the sooner we get to that roster size with some vet presence and not have to rely on the younger guys just yet would be most ideal in my opinion. Not sold on Broberg being up full time next year but maybe Manson can whip him into some kind of D shape. I hope the conversation is had with Darnell to focus on stick work and defensive play in his own zone.

  7. I have no problem with Kevin Lowe the player but Kevin Lowe the executive can kiss my Tier 2 Ontario ass.

  8. Interesting 🤨 we need to make some moves to make space now…. I’m in the wait and see moment now!! Enjoy the summer

  9. Hey Patrick have you heard anything about when Kane's arbitration hearing is scheduled for? Why are all the other players being bumped in front of him when his has the longest outstanding term than the others?
I can't find anything for an update except that it would be pushed into free agency yet that was over 2 weeks ago now

  10. Keep Jesse and Foegele, both very solid 3rd liners if they can bounce back. Trade Barrie for Hakanpaa or Mayfield.

  11. I think there's a market for Puljujarvi, because he's an excellent forechecker and defensive player, and his late-season scoring slump is perfectly explainable.

Furthermore I hope there's a market for Puljujarvi too, because I just keep getting the impression he's an awkward fit in the room, as well as under the cap.

  12. I understand people's ire at Lowe for the "tier comment" and even the Ryan Smith trade, but blaming him for Tambelini's epic fumbles is not fair, and people simply can't look at one side of the argument. "A complex Oiler legacy" is more fair, but still really diminishes his stunning worth to the team as a player and a cap-era finalist GM, plus the fact he was willing to return to Edmonton from New York speaks volumes in the "Pronger/Heatley backdrop" of the era. He's truly one of the Oiler greats, and yes he misspoke once and made one unfortunate trade.

  13. Correction: Lowe scored the franchise's first NHL goal. Let's not forget the WHA history.

  14. McLeod and Benson are the two remaining RFA's to resign. Both are relatively easy and inexpensive BUT there is nothing in the cookie jar unless someone goes (especially if they want a PTO or two or another low priced vet (Phil the Thrill, PK, etc. (not PK, please not PK)). Great vid as always. Take care all.

  15. Yamo back on a short contract and his time to continue to grow is now. It’s a good sign for this team when it has the depth to trade away any of those three.
Congratulations to Kevin Lowe on his retirement . As a fossil fan I was fortunate enough to watch him at Northlands as a hard working D during the glory days. Thanks for your many contributions over your career.
    Keep the vids rolling Patrick.
