**Q for the board:**
What do you think he will be asking for and what Cap hit will they settle on?
My thought is that he will ask for a Hyman like contract (7 or 8 years with and a cap hit of 5.5 mill). They may settle for a little less such as 4.5 to 5 mill. Age and stats are similar, however Buntings best season was 63 points while Hymans best was 41.
Now everyone says things like ‘he loves it here so much he will take a hometown discount’. But Bunting hasnt made much money so he has to max it out as this is his one opportunity.
Can the Leafs afford to keep him?
