New Years Resolution. Hockey is a team sport so the wings as a team must revolve to play each game for 60 minutes. That been their problem this year. It seems that they only play one or two periods a game. Leads to inconstancy and losses. They as a team must fix this problem.
Fabbri, Bert and Vrana join
Soderblom to GR
Suter, Zadina traded for picks
Erne, Sundvqist become healthy scratches (occasionally Kubalik)
First, they only need to make room for 3 forwards. Vrána is already on the roster because a conditioning stint requires an NHL roster spot. The roster currently has 13 forwards, 7 defenseman, and 3 goalies. So after waving Ned or Hellburg they only need to make a decision on 2 forwards. I think the best decision is to send Berggren and Soderblom to Grand Rapids. I know Berggren has played to well to be sent down, but there is still over half a season left. He will be back up when injuries start piling up again. Second, why is everyone willing to trade the depth that has helped them survive the injuries? There is still more than half the season left. What if the injuries start piling up again?
Haven’t commented in a bit. Yet as always great show! Happy new years to all of you. I think erne needs to be traded. Yet outside of that. I have no idea what needs to be done. Well above my pay grade lol
Happy New Year to one and all!
Hoping the best for the Wings, that adding three good goal scorers can bring them over the top and into a playoff spot. If not, no harm done.
Ned reminds me of Roger Crozier in a way – he has an unorthodox style that when he's on, he's almost unbeatable. Otherwise, there are holes in his game. His lateral movement is not always there, gets caught leaning too much. I would like to see him work with a goalie coach to make adjustments to plug those holes. Then he will make a great back up or perhaps a 1A.
