Barzal is on fire. He surpassed Brock Nelson for team leader in points with 40 with his goal and two assists.
HI Gil. It was a good isles win. Isles got going in the second period to beat a team on paper they should have beat. That still doesn't excuse the lousy effort in seattle. whl star barzal led the way as he should have. Raty scored again (on the fourth line). And jpg the special team/empty net ace. And with isles winning they move two points ahead of floundering pens losers of five in a row and six of seven plus a bettman charity point. Pens still have two games in hand. Some nights barzal is just on. Imagine barzal with up to par wingers? I still say give vrana on waivers a shot. Lane at least knows him from caps days. I know he has a 'substance abuse' problem that lou will avoid like the plague plus a $5.2 cap hit. Isles have like $12 mil. in cap room now. Could ltir a palmeiri and sign vrana. If he doesn't work out just cut him loose and go tdl fishing instead. Isles can still get him for nothing except cap $$$. Vrana struggled in ahl rehab stint so it sounds like wings just decided to cut ties with him. Vrana was lights out when he joined wings two seasons ago. Vrana started strong last season before shoulder injury. As some say he may be worth the risk to a team looking to add offensive firepower. Hello LOU… I know Locked On already addressed this saying this was an interesting possibility and lou wont want to pay him that much. True.
