  1. Also tough to say we’re a 2 man team. Like what flames players have been saying were a one man team but we have players like RNH and Hyman absolutely tearing it up and our defence has been underestimated all year, yes we have Mcdavid which is insane, but to discredit the rest of the team is unfair imo hockey is the one sport that takes a team to win not 1 or 2 players.

  2. Canucks fans were right. Markstrom is a complete bust in the playoffs. His career stats speak for itself

  3. Love my Flames but the series is done. No way they come back from down 3-1, unless Smith single handedly loses it for them.

(Sorry, Oilers fans. It's a loooooooong shot, but you know it's possible.)

  4. Especially with the Evander Kane signing Edmonton is no longer a two-man team we do have the two best players but we are no longer a two-man team

  5. My thoughts exactly! McDavid and Draisaitl versus Landeskog and McKinnon CONFERENCE FINAL 🤯

  6. This series is over. Maelstrom is too tired. He played way too much this year. Calgary needs a 1a 1b goalie tandem. JPat said Markstrom is better when playing rested. I agree.

  7. That first Nugent-Hopkins goal was practically a Markstrom own-goal. In the back of our minds didn't some of us think he might fall apart sooner than later without Ian Clark? He was a super late bloomer in becoming an elite goalie and then the prospect of getting old (in athlete terms) was just around the corner. I hope Markstrom fully recovers and wins a cup with Calgary before his contract expires but I'm sure I'm not the only one who thought he might turn out to be a flash in the pan who pulled it all together just enough to score a huge contract. But I hope he pulls it together and beats Edmonton in three straight and then becomes a brick wall against Colorado. I say Edmonton has a fragile psyche and if Calgary wins game 5 Edmonton might implode for game 6 and then anything goes for game 7.

  8. Edmonton isn't a 2 man team. Sutter's gameplan around McDavid backfired because that opens up opportunities for guys like Kane, Hyman, RNH, Yamamoto, Barrie, Kulak, and Ceci to step up. Drai's also got himself a productive game putting up 3 apples.

Woodcroft's ability to line match has the Oilers succeeding in this series.

  9. The 2 man team narrative is ridiculous😂 Kane is leading the playoffs in goals with 12 nuge has 10 points in 11 games hyman has 9 in 11 games this is no longer a 2 man team wake up people

  10. McDavid > Gaudreau
    Draisaitl > Tkachuk
    Hyman > Lindholm
    Kane > Mangiapane
    Nugent -Hopkins > Backlund
    Nurse > Andersson
    Ceci > Hanifin
    Bouchard > Kylington
    Barrie > Gubranson
    Kulak > Zadorov

    and in this series
    Smith > Markstorm

  11. It’s boring. Not even a real battle compared to real old time hockey. I made this comment during an Ad so if you say the same thing, I didn’t copy haha

  12. Let's go Oilers beat those Calgary Clowns. They might as well get Ronald Mcdonald as their mascot which matches Calgarys colours.

  13. everyone craps all over the oilers for being mostly 2 player team for years, does everyone forget that mD makes 2 to 3 times more than most good players in the league, when you pay a player that much, they have to be the central focus of your talent based on pure economics… kinda makes sense, right??? !!!

  14. You forgot Markstrom was garbage in game 1 also and the Oilers have owed him since which shouldn't come as a surprise to you Lego has Leon and Connor owed Markstrom when we was still with the Nuks

  15. Can we please give some props to Ken Holland.

Every move he's made this year has been amazing.
Hyman & Kane have given much needed added depth and we finally have a great top 6.
Ceci has been our most consistent dman this year.
Keith, apart from the odd mistake has been great. He led the D in ice time last game.
    Even Barrie has been good.
Kulak's addition at the deadline was the perfect missing piece for the blue line.
And Smith has again surpassed everyone's expectations, when it really matters, in the playoffs.

  16. Anyone who says the oilers are a 2 man team is a complete idiot who doesn’t watch the oilers play.

  17. Drop the annoying, juvenille graphics 🍼
Stop the Capt. Obvious reviews on McDavid/Draisaitl…there are viewers here with multiple decades of hockey backgrounds. Many of your sweeping, cliché statements scare me . The Vesina nominated Markström is being outplayed by a 40 year, many so-called-experts wrote off.
☆ RNH is S O overrated; typically, a wimpy, peripheral special teams player who requires the Oilers PP for his misleading assists numbers. 5 on 5, he's usually useless, a terrible shooter, (check his stats & look at the company he keeps❗️), horrible at faceoffs after 11 seasons in the NHL, reportedly, doesn't do much weight training, can't drive his own line, disliking hard checking, trench warfare, roll-up-your-sleaves play. His much vaunted versatility is exposed when put under scrutiny…we have loads of players who can kill penalties. Ken Holland was extremely short sighted, gifting Nuge his 8 year, 5.1 contract at 28 years old. When Leon's healthy, he's a 3rd line center, with many flaws. We have far greater cap priorities, with more important pieces & prospects to consider.
