    I don't know much about the Maple Leafs history to say whether the design choices reflect a "Heritage Series" designation properly, but I do think the look is plain and agree about the subliminal name added.

    I was hoping for a "Home" version of the St. Pats jersey . They are playing heritage game during St Patrick weekend. A new version would make more sense. No disrespect to the Arenas, but this jersey is dull with no imagination at all, I will not buy it

    Might be a dumb idea, but I think if the didn’t include arenas and just a big T, it be a nice clean jersey.

    that blue on blue "Areans" reminds me of Ballard for sure… Ballard Refuses to Display Player Names on Jerseys

    Needless to say, Ballard balked at the directive and refused to comply. When threatened with a fine from the league, Ballard responded by having the players' names stitched on their backs in the same colour as their jersey backgrounds, leaving the names unreadable.

    No problem with the ''T'', but yeah I didn't see the ''arena'' so yeah there is a problem. And the rest of the jersey is a 0 for me… just a whit strip at the bottom, lazy af

    The blue-on-blue Arenas wordmark is a nod to the the 1978 Leafs. Ballard had this exact thing done to the names on the back of the jerseys.

    I have a video idea that’s sounds cool! You should take the last 15-20 most recent adidas jerseys released and then take a couple concepts to match up with the real jersey to see how they fair. I know for a fact that a lot of the concepts sent to you will be better then the real jerseys.

    I like the shade of blue….

    This…. ugh… this is not what I wanted. I did not want St Pat's either which was rumored.

    It just sucks. Put it right on clearance.

    The Centennial Classic was amazing! The Stadium Series was good (the all white look for the whole uniform was dumb) and the Reverse retro was acceptable at best.

    But this…. this is deflating as I was genuinely looking forward to the reveal.

    I wanted an updated version or even a blue version of the alternate jersey the Leafs wore in the early 2000s. It had an old school look and the logo is a sight variant to what they wear now.

    Hopefully the Reverse Retro 2.0 for next year will be better…. please…

    I don't know if Adidas themselves is doing the designs or the team themselves but if they both have a hand in designing these jerseys the designers need to be fired because they honestly don't know how to design a jersey that people want to buy

    I disagree. Was not a fan of the old version, and i really like this one. I think this will look great on the ice, even though they could've made it better with some striping on the arms… but i love that the Arenas letters are the same color as the jersey, wich makes the T stand out

    Whilst I’m not the biggest fan of the jersey, but I think it really depends what they do with the whole uniform. If they go with the classic tan/brown gloves and shorts, then I think it would make the jersey so much better

    Maybe it’s because I love that shade of blue, but I don’t hate it. I also think a good video idea would be how jerseys get designed. I always assumed the team used a consulting firm to help with marketing, design, and working with the manufacturer

    The ‘ghost’ aspect of the logo (the arena part) that style is fine if it’s other aspects of the jersey, like striping or detail, but a logo is meant to stand out.

    I didn’t even see the Arenas logo until this post. Wouldn’t want it. Days away from the Stadium Series game and those sweaters are looking downright gorgeous!

    For those that don't know, this jersey was the VERY FIRST Toronto jersey in their franchise. It was followed up by the Arenas jersey with the striping down the arm, as worn in a pervious Winter Classic. It is simple, indeed, as all jerseys were back then, but I bet for those of you that are ho hum about it, just wait till it is worn on the ice. Changing to dark navy was a great touch, and it will look great, bet on that.

    I agree with the visual distress comment, but I think when approaching the heritage classic, they went actually pretty well I think if they added a stripe on the arms it would have been better and the treatments to the fonts need to carry over even to the C/A. Did not notice the name on the back to see if the texture made it there as well. For sure not a buyer but it’s pretty cool.

    Jersey is dull and bland just like the fan base so it works . I don’t get why adidas are obsessed with that contrast of having designs on the jerseys the same
    Color as the logo or laces/fake laces .

    Is it my screen or is it 2 different white? The T a bit more to the grey and the A more clean then after a "vanish ad."

    As a Leafs fan I'm very disappointed, I was expecting a lot more. You are right, it's a lazy design. They could have put a white stripe at the elbows to match the one at the bottom. White shoulders would have been very nice. But since it's my favorite team I will probably buy it.

    I was saying, if I didn't just buy a Sabres jersey, I'd consider this one. As for Toronto, I'm not so fond of theirs.

    I'm a big fan of the simplicity, but also a fan of practice jerseys. The similar color of the text of the ARENAS hopefully looks good on TV and displays the T more, so to promote TORONTO more.

    I personally love this jersey it’s very clean but I can see why people don’t. Probably would have landed better if it was a 3rd/Alternative jersey.
