  1. Gone but not forgotten, R.I.P. Flower you will be missed🤍💙❤️

  2. The Rangers had a legit chance at the cup and were first in the league. Then Esposito fired Bergeron for no reason and they were history in 4

  3. My favourite player of all time. A hero to a new immigrant kid to Canada I met him one time for an autograph and he was a true gentleman. Thank you Guy and RIP.

  4. Being French Canadian myself, Lafleur was the embodiment of the Flying Frenchman. He wasn't skating, he was flying on the ice. Sad day 04/22/2022.

  5. Guy Lafleur died today. And I had to come and watch this video because it is a part of a story from my life that I've told a few times today. I was in high school when he made his comeback and this game was on a Saturday night. The day before, Friday at school I told a few buddies that I thought Lafleur would score 2 goals but Montreal would win the game and that's exactly what happened lol. One of many, many awesome memories that man provided me and my family.

  6. Shayne Corson got a hat trick that night but nobody cares. The fact the Forum cheered him like that is awesome…and very, very rare. And those 2 goals were against Patrick Roy! No slouch either. Marcel Dionne (who was drafted after LaFleur) was also on the Rangers that season making his swan song but didn't play that night. I wonder what happened there.

  7. The look on Burns' face when Lafleur scored that 2nd goal, PRICELESS.

  8. Another Canadian legend gone, god damn it! Pierre Trudeau, Neil Peart and, now, The Flower!!! A sad day for Canada, but an opportunity to celebrate his legend! So crack open the nearest bottle of Molson Canadian beer, light up an Export 'A' cig in his memory, watch Don Cherry's latest installment of Rock'em Sock'em! and pour yourself some EXTRA maple syrup on those pancakes tomorrow morning! I'll miss Guy… RIP… and I hope his family accepts the STATE FUNERAL offered by the Province of Quebec (Canada)! Millions will appreciate it!!! LL

  9. Ont t'aime Guy. l'homme le plus photographié au Québec. jasé avec Guy Lafleur s'étaie comme jasé avec un chum.

  10. He had no business retiring. Lemaire and Ronald Corey were the reason why he retired. I'm glad he came back. Ronald Corey got rid of 2 superstars, Lafleur and Roy, because of his big ego.

  11. i am sure this was the first time a new york rangers player was cheered in montreal !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  12. I hate Montreal with a passion I cannot stand that fucking team. I'm a leafs fan of course lol but guy Lafleur was truly something special the guy was incredible. I'm amazing player an amazing human such a fantastic awesome player

  13. Glad I got to see him play the rangers have knack of bringing in hall of fame legends towards the end of there careers
    Lafleur
    Jagr
    Gretzky
    Lindros

  14. I was seven years old watching this, a Canadiens fan too young to remember Lafleur with the Habs, and even I was cheering his goals!

  15. And Roy basically plays like a modern goalie. People say guys from that era couldn't score on modern goalies. Guy is old here too.

  16. Wow ! Today is December 31, 2022 … I’m wiping the tears away from my face , watching this … you couldn’t write that homecoming any better . The Flower scores not one , but , two goals against the #1 Goalie in the world !! Then , the standing O … classiest Hockey Fans anywhere. I met Guy during the last Forum Game Ever … he signed my program cover … I wish I had a photo with him …
