  1. A deal with LA seems to make more and more sense whether its a winger or a defensemen going their way. Turcotte would be sick, Vilardi wouldn't be half bad either. Dach would be awesome but i'm not sure we could get it done without losing one of our top prospects.

  2. Namestnikov and sebrango/viro for turcotte or if we want byfield… zadina namestnikov and a 3rd or washington second

  3. If we could get Byfield for Wallinder and a 2nd I'd be all over it. Would probably even be willing to give up a 1st instead of a 2nd. He fits the model of team Yzerman is building and could be that piece that we need to push our offense to the next level in a year or two.

  4. Pierre-Luc Dubois, Kirby Dach, and Martin Necas are some centers who clearly would give the Wings some depth for the future down the middle. Assuming we draft a center this summer, once they are ready for top 6 minutes in say 2-3 years, you could simply move Necas to RW, as he has had plenty of experience playing on the wing. In relation to a top 4 LD, the obvious choice would be to say Jacob Chychrun, however this seems to become less and less likely of an asset that we would go after as the deadline approaches, seeing as someone is going to overpay heavily in order to have Chychrun on a cup run. It also doesn’t help that Arizona clearly doesn’t want to part with him, unless it’s for an absolute haul. Other players I’ve found interesting are Samuel Girard and Erik Brannström , who both are offensively inclined players, yet at much different paths in their development timeline. Brannström would likely cost a mid-tier pick and a prospect, and would be seen as a project to develop into his ceiling at this point, however it wouldn’t surprise me if Yzerman goes for him, as he clearly likes low-risk, high reward deals. In the case of Sam Girard, this would ultimately be a blockbuster deal in order to get him, however I would be willing to give up a lot, as this young man has an outstanding contract that extends well into the future, and could solidify our top 4 for the next decade.

Other players who are on the table who I’d look at are Dylan Strome, Kieffer Bellows, Vitaly Kravtsov, and Tyson Jost.

A player who is on a team that is struggling, is Matt Barzal. Now I’m not saying the Islanders are going to throw Barzal away, as he’s a majorrrr part of their team, but should they continue to dip into the standings, it’s highly possible they could look to acquire more first round picks and prospects, as their team isn’t getting any younger . I also believe Barzal would be the perfect fit in Detroit, though it would take a kings ransom to pull away from the Island. Who knows, just a thought

  5. Idk see yzerman rushing to get us a center by giving up one of our top D prospects. I see him drafting a beast this upcoming draft with whatever puck we have. And going the patient route. Heck we might already have a great center in the system but he just might need to develop and we can’t tell yet. I would be shocked if we pulled off a big trade at the deadline

  6. You are crazy if you think Seider is even remotely on the table for a trade! This kid is the future of the RedWings defense!!!!

  7. Defense is a need, but with the prospects nearing roster need a space or 2. May have to part with a D man.
Detroit has defenders who have stats and a good amount of playing time. (Good Thing)
Logjam……. Just think if Alec Regula was still on the depth chart but was sent to Chicago (12 points in 19 games).
McIssac maybe, has 13 points in 36 AHL games so he is capable.
Wallilnder wait until he joins the GRG to see what he can do. Way too early to let him go.
Johansson 13 points in 36 games
Tuomisto 7 points with U of Denver

  8. I think that Yzerman's main priority is obtaining a #1 or #2 Centerman in the draft, especially if they draft between 1st and 10th overall. It's the cheapest way to fill that need. The next best way is through free agency. Detroit was able to sign Suter in free agency on a decent short-term contract. Detroit could try to sign Tomas Hertl in free agency if available, and if willing to sign around a 5 year contract. Detroit is only needing about 1-2 major pieces to complete the rebuild, if everything goes right. That's a #1 or really good #2 center and another elite goal scorer. This is probably Detroit's final best chance to get another great draft pick in the draft. As far as Vladislav Namestikov, Detroit could easily sign him in the off-season and still trade him this deadline. Detroit could easily get a 2nd for Namestikov. With Edvidsson, Berggren, Johansson, and Soderblom all getting opportunities in Detroit next season, Detroit's line-up looks to get an improved upgrade. Detroit's line-up next season could look like this next season:

    Bertuzzi Larkin Raymond
    Vrana Hertl? Berggren
    Suter Veleno Fabbri
    Erne Rasmussen Stephens
    Smith

    Edvidsson Seider
    Johansson Hronek
    Mcissac? Lindstrom
    Oesterle

    Nedeljkovic
    Pickard?

  9. I'd like to snag elias pettersson. I hear he's on a bit of a slide this year. Perfect bait

  10. Zadina, Rasmussen, and lindstrom arent going anywhere!! neither is Seider, larkin bert or anyone recently drafted. the only players up for trade this year would be, Fabri, Vlad Nameskinov, DDK, both Smiths, Rowney, and Griess thats it no1 else is being moving less its an over trade on the other teams part

  11. I think I mentioned this before the current rules only allows you to eat up contracts of three players in trades per year. Wings ate two this off-season so they only can eat one more. So I’m hoping this brings in a star center that can push larkin for the number one spot

  12. Leddy is probably expendable and would be good to fetch a 2nd round pick with from a team desperate for a second pairing defenseman.

  13. I'm betting Yzerman will take his time and patience to get to the cup again. He thinks like Bowman huh?

  14. Namesnikov and Wallander are the odd men out on this future. Would be good to get a center and a winger in those trades

  15. Anybody is on the table for Connor McDavid… Yeah. Hey Holland… You haven't done enough STUPID lately! How about McDavid for a Calder nominee?

  16. How about Hronek? He's a guy we really don't need. Hear me out here. Hronek has dropped down to the 2nd line where he currently belongs… But with the likes of Edvinsson and Buium and Toumisto and Johansson he's likely to find himself being demoted again. That ain't going to work. Let's trade him to a team with a weak D where he plays a bigger role. It makes sense to me.
