Burns a marqué après s’être retrouvé devant une rondelle libre pour donner une avance de 1-0 à la Caroline à 7:24 de la première période. Il a prolongé sa séquence de points à quatre matchs (un but, quatre passes). Trouba a créé l’égalité 1-1 en supériorité numérique à 16:26 avec un tir du poignet de la ligne bleue. Les Hurricanes ont pris les devants 2-1 14 secondes plus tard à 16:42 lorsque Necas a marqué sur un tir sur réception depuis le cercle de mise au jeu gauche. Il s’agissait de son 17e but de la saison, un sommet dans la LNH. Il s’agissait du premier match entre les équipes depuis les séries éliminatoires de la Coupe Stanley la saison dernière, lorsque les Rangers ont éliminé les Hurricanes en sept matchs au deuxième tour de l’Association de l’Est.     If you want to talk about a statement win, THIS IS IT. Arguably their best 3rd period yet from being 3-2 down to winning the game and not allowing a goal in the 3rd against a tough Carolina team! Amazing win! Montreal Thursday!

    The broken stick, Miller's "trip" on Aho (he took a dive), and Burns' "Holding the stick" on Panarin were all bad calls. Like you said, I'll take it. They did play a good 3rd.

    Rangers bounced back when they needed to the most. We are finding ways to win again which is what we struggled with in November. Starting to look like a playoff team again. LGR!!!

    Regardless of the bad calls Carolina had there chances on the POWERPLAY and failed to score. Winning special teams is key against a team like the rangers. I’ll take that W thank you very much. LGR!!!

    As a Devils fan great W by the Rangers against the Canes, we had the Canes beat too we should of beat them 4-3 at the Prudential Center but I get pissed off like you too cause the Devils aren’t disciplined enough and they take not 1 but 3 penalties in the last few minutes of the game and of course Carolina is gonna score on that, can’t take stupid penalties with like 2 mins left in a game in a one goal game. But great win for you guys, but yeah we definitely had the Canes beat too.
