  1. Why was the equipment guy walking across the ice during the surge? Was that what happened during the first surge?

  2. That‘s like in Ambri-Piotta, a Swiss Club from a very little village. Google it!

  3. I thought they wouldn't do it when Justin Williams announced his rest from the NHL. But whatever.

  4. Was the first one that lack luster too? For all the hype you would expect they would do more. It's gonna be sad if they just repeat all of them in order again.

  5. It's crazy to think about how almost a year ago, the Hurricanes weren't considered a great team and weren't selling a lot of tickets. Ever since then, there have been almost 25 surges, getting under the skin of Don Cherry, officially adopting the nickname "Bunck of Jerks" and making it to the Eastern Conference Finals last year. Go back and watch the first surge and compare it to this one and you will see a massive difference in the crowd size. The player-fan connection is amazing and really helped invigorate the team and their fans. As a hockey fan, I love seeing these surges as it makes the game more fun. Keep surging you bunch of jerks.

  6. I was in the building for the first ever Surge. None of us were clapping along with the players. 1 year later, look at this place.

  7. Safe to say those tickets probably aren’t the price of a meal at red lobster anymore, great to see the fans in Carolina again
