This team is such a disappointment

  2. Losing to a team in a tanking battle. New year same Flames.

  3. Comfortable-Ad-7158

Hey hanifan. Your a defenseman. Don’t skate in 1 on 3 In OT and essentially hand them the puck.

    Dumb.

  4. marbsarebadredux

If you don’t like that you don’t like Flames hockey

  5. Suzaku94

I hate how commentators go on about how calgary outshoot their opponents and how they are somewhat surprised by the outcome. Number of shots don’t equal quality of shots

  6. Ridin_the_GravyTrain

Did we really just lose to that poverty team

  7. Slimmynorthfish

This team is so painfully mid. Tough to watch.

  8. CaptinDerpI

    HOW DO YOU LOSE

    TO THE FUCKING BLACKHAWKS

  9. MechashinsenZ

How the actual fuck did this happen?

  10. davenator49111

Idk, imo the flames actually played quite well and we had good shots, unlike other 40+ shot games, this was genuinely a case of the goalie standing on his head.

  11. super6646

People keep talking about our schedule getting easier, but somehow this team has pissed away 5 pts against Columbus, Chicago, and Montreal. Sorry, 1 pt isn’t good enough in this game.

The cycle of mediocrity continues. Really frustrating seeing our « starter » spot off 3. Team absolutely doesn’t generate chances in the middle of the ice either.

  12. Chronixx

Contenders don’t lose games like this. Brutal

  13. laboufe

Classic flames. We will limp to either a wildcard spot or just miss the playoffs and not get bedard either. Im going to call it, this team is a god damn dumpster fire.

  14. Ridin_the_GravyTrain

Fuck it, we’ll take Bedard since these molestor-enablers clearly don’t want him

  15. Sylvania49

I bet every backup goalie looks forward for a bloated save percentage against us

  16. buchsy45

The hawks have 24 points, are the favourite team to win the Bedard lottery, and also had one of their star players injured tonight. We just lost to that lol. I’m not sure how anyone can really defend this team right now, it’s just such boring and emotionless hockey.

  17. rye_by_night

The Flames have lost to Columbus, Chicago, and twice to Montreal.

    Jesus fucking Christ.

Maybe this will finally be the kick in the ass for them to play a whole 60 minutes. They looked like they were on cruise control in the first. Looked absolutely pathetic until Markstrom was pulled.

  18. What a shit day that’s topped off with this shit finish..

    Fuck this whole day

  19. FrisbeeMcRobert

Play the worst team in the league, give up one early, put up 45+ shots…

This was a scheduled loss. Anyone who thinks otherwise is a newbie flames fan

  20. hfxbycgy

You can’t give up 3 goals on 10 shots 15 times a year and expect to be a playoff team. I’m not sure what to do with markstrom right now, but I know what not to do.

  21. MechashinsenZ

That last powerplay was fucking boring. Holy shit it was just pass, skate, pass, pass, pass, skate, shoot….oh it’s over already.

  22. trenchdick

I was so fucking tired I fell asleep right when the game started and woke uo right when it ended lol.

Of course we couldn’t win. I miss when the Flames were the best team in the league (or one of the best) in OT.

  23. TravisTouchdown_51

I could talk about how this team started poorly, I could talk about the decision to start Markstrom instead of Vladar, I could talk about the costly decision Hanifin made to shoot in OT when he didn’t need to and give up possession, but I’m just resigned to the fact that we can’t do jack all in OT this season, 3 wins in OT seems like a typo almost. Whoever’s the opposition, whoever’s playing for us, our team’s hockey IQ goes down the drain whenever the puck drops in OT.

  24. Theboofgoof

Just to recap, the Flames have zero wins against Montreal, Columbus, and Chicago.

Remind me why I’m supposed to believe in this team?

  25. BFGSkittles

Imagine losing to the worst team in the league

  26. Embarrassed-Song-738

I love this team but we aren’t winning this year, that’s just a fact I’ve already accepted

  27. Salticracker

Even with those two points, they’re *still* last in the league.

Fucking embarrassing. Sutter needs to teach these guys how to play defence.

  28. Accomplished_Skin_22

Everyone’s pissed out of their minds, but Calgs is 6-2-2 in their last 10. In a much better spot than a month ago. Need to do well against the Blues tho

  29. JayTalk

Any veteran Flames fan saw this L coming. The usual signs were all there.

Team in running for 1st overall? Check.

Starting goalie has atrocious stats? Check.

We have some kind of noteworthy winning streak against said team? Check.

Flames are masters are dropping the ball against dumpster tier teams.

  30. MissionIncredible

If Vlad was in net from the start, the boys win the game.

Sutter needs to either stop relying on Marky, or put him on a short leash when he drops below .890

  31. The-Reddit-Giraffe

That last play was bad. Literally every flame on the ice made a defensive mistake. And those are our best players

  32. How embarrassing. Mangiapane absolutely invisible as well. What a shit year after signing that contract

  33. iggyisgoat

This team is going nowhere. Game 41 and 0 adjustments have been made.

  34. DomH970

Team needs a new system, this high shot volume strategy doesn’t work and every time I watch the Flames they look slow. We’ve had half a season of this play style and it’s simply not good enough, especially when the West is weak compared to the East. Flames need to be at least 2nd in the pacific with this roster. I’d like to see Sutter put Ruzicka on Huberdeau line and give it a bit more speed, Lucic is just too slow for how many minutes he gets and he’s played a very physically demanding style of hockey his whole career.

  35. TheThatNeverWas

Just like “a goalie’s gotta win one” and “one of the big name guys have to make a big play” – both things Sutter likes to say again and again – a coach has to have his team ready for the “easy” games, and not just the big ones.

  36. Sufficient-Cookie404

This was a flat out bad loss, it should not have happened. Things need to change. 3-8 in extra time, is horrible. Especially against the worst teams in the league.

  37. TCScout

We play like we’re the 21-22 Flames without what made us good last year. Really hoping Pelts sees top 6 time to shake things up

  38. lunchbawkz

    TRAP GAMES

You can always count on the Flames to lose em

  39. iggyisgoat

Sutter starting Weegar Tanev and Backlund in OT. Why’s he playing shutdown hockey in OT? He knows the Flames weren’t ahead right?

  40. _sunburn

Didn’t need to watch this one to know the flames had no chance to win this one

but I see the flames had another 40+ shot night. Were they mostly muffins again?
