I’d much rather keep him than trade him because I don’t think you are going to get the same value trading him over keeping him. if this season is just a fluke or he doesn’t improve year two, the bridge deal will sting but won’t destroy the club like an OEL contract. I think clubs won’t be clamouring to get into a bidding war over half a season of NHL play. That said, his abilities are pretty obvious so if you do trade him, whatever you get is basically free since we signed him in FA.

Please. Give Pettersson a linemate he can play with for the majority of his career. He deserves the skill alongside him that Kuzmenko brings. Do not give him a revolving door of wingers that never stick. We know Kuzmenko works with him. Let him have that security.
