Love the guy as a person. But Boeser as a player needs a change of scenery. He hasn’t been the same since his injuries. The game has gotten away from him. It’s too fast for him, he’s not quick enough to find the space to get his shot go.
Out of the “excess forwards” on this roster, Boeser is the one I hope they hold onto in the short term.
Assuming Bo moves on, that creates more opportunities at the top of the lineup and Boeser is a good bet to replace some of Horvats lost production.
Instead of selling low on Boeser, theres a good chance you can actually sell high on the player down the line.
Could still happen. He has 8 now. If that powerplay starts clicking again (which would probably be crucial for it to happen) 22 goals over the next 42 games isn’t outside the realm of possibility. In the last 4 games Brock has 2 goals and 2 assists. Maybe he’s starting to find his game again after the rough start and the injury? Who knows. Nevertheless, it’s not impossible.
Keep in mind even though his father is no longer suffering, that Brock is still having a hard time. No he is not the same player he once was but he is human and a special one at that. For Brock’s sake I hope he can find his game in a different team in different head space.As a fan base he deserves that.
He needs to be told by the coaching staff to get 6+ shots per game, any angle. drag to the middle and let it rip. he has a special shot and changed his game for whatever reason (i think injury).
