But there's no way you can suggest that anyone in the league is in the same category as McDavid. Ovechkin and Crosby in their prime? Maybe.
But to find players clearly at the same level, you need to go back to the 80s and 90s, and guys named Gretzky and Lemieux. The best of the best. Players that blew your mind with amazing plays so often it seemed to become old hat – until they did it again.
I was blessed to have watched Gretzky and Lemieux in their prime. And now to watch McDavid? Nuts, man. Just nuts.
