I’ve been thinking that keeping these two guys during a rebuild would at least help us reach the salary cap floor… I knew they were good for something, unfortunately it’s not defending however.

Absolutely disgraceful results for two guys making a combined 13-14m.

Something must be done? Yes, give them more minutes. #Bedard

If you had no issue with money last thing you would want during a rebuild is wasted cap. We just watched teams have to give away good players for free to make cap space why waste it on keeping OEL for the cap floor when you’ll have EP40’s new contract and all the rolls of the dice that free cap space will give you.

Any way to tell if they are still being matched against the other team’s top line like they were last season? They’re supposed to be offensive defensemen who were shoehorned into it because….there’s no one on the team that’s a fit for that role (including them)

Up their icetime.

I mean yes but what can be done? It’s not like this team is stacked with blue chip prospects that can come in and replace them. Plus keeping them in the lineup helps with team tank.

For long term, the Canucks need them gone. Needed them gone all season.. but now they actually could help get a better draft pick. Still need them gone , for whatever direction next year brings
