Honestly, would not blame Phillips in the slightest if he refused to extend again this summer. Its clear that this organization has no interest in him, and he’s 25. He’ll probably want to sign somewhere that will actually give him a chance to try and prove himself at the NHL level.

I like Pelletier and think he’ll be a great flame. But whose role does he really take? I know everyone thinks Lucic but Looch has played just fine since he was a healthy scratch for 3 games. If someone from the Wranglers had the same production as him over the past number of games the same people would be losing it about how good the wrangler is.
And who has Sutter ever missed on? There’s some idea he’s a dinosaur but if anything he’s been one of the better NHL coaches with young talent. Sutter has been a head coach for more than a decade where he’s brought up a number of young players to career years. On top of that I can’t think of a single prospect in Calgary, LA or San Jose that Sutter wouldn’t play that went elsewhere and had success. Don’t trust these know it alls who tweet all day over the Jack Adams winning guy who has undoubtedly been our best coach.
