   Tanking the entire last half of the season and getting the 7th overall pick is preferable to « competing » and getting the 13th overall pick.

   There is a very real possibility that Michkov can drop to this draft position range because he’s signed several years in the KHL and there is ambiguity right now with Russia at war. Michkov is the second best talent in the draft after Bedard. He’s putting up Panarin numbers but as an 18 year old.
