NÉGOCIATIONS LARKIN/YZERMAN ET ÉVALUATION DE MI-SAISON DES AILES ROUGES – Balado Winged Wheel – 15 janvier 2023

This was my first time attending a game vs the Leafs. It was awesome.
It was definitely not 50-50. Wings fans were far more numerous, but my end of the ice was 70% Toronto fans. The shit-talking was lively, and the chant battle lasted all game. Good stuff.
The win was icing on the cake.

  2. Trade Larkin and keep tanking for high draft picks. Bringing him back long term just means the team will continue to finish 10th every season.

  3. Hahahahahaha! So you recorded the podcast and now there's news about Ned. It is your fate and lot in life to have these big news things happen at precisely the wrong time. 😀

I tease, but actually I always look forward to these. Thanks. It's definitely going to be an interesting second half, with two players not signed, two players waived, and the potential for a mid-season slump. I still say this team is better than the past few years, and usually much more fun to watch.

  4. If we overpay for Larkin just cuz he's a michigan kid and holds our C role we essentially will be screwing ourselves so much in the future. $8.5 x 8 is my max on him, if not I fully support optimizing for Seider and Raymond window and pushing rebuild back a couple years.

  5. Need to give Berggren back his natural #48 now that Givani Smith departed awhile ago.
The #52 just is Jonathan worthy not Jonatan worthy.

  6. I'm glad I trust Stevie Y 100%, makes all these things going on not stressful at all tbh. Even if it takes more time, it is what it is.

  7. How about this? What if Larkin came with this idea about the gap in money for the contract. Tell Yzerman ill sign for the 8.25m-8.50m for 8 years but the difference between the contract and my opening offer get donated to Constintenov each year for the 8yrs of my contact from the Red Wings to take care of him due to the medical ins issue's. And the Red Wings organization can take full credit for the donations? How can Yzerman turn that down at all. His former players and friend. What an honorable way to handle a situation and a friend. That would be so freakin cool it would make me cry.

  8. As far as Vrhana he will be traded or waived to make cap space for the future for our quick upcoming players. 5.25m for 2 years on a guy that hasnt shown any sign of durability to justify in his pay nor the roster space

  9. …a Datsyuk Cochino jersey… Wings at Coyotes… That dude rules both for owning that jersey and wearing it to the game.

  10. Watched Vrana in GR multiple times. Lack of effort and he seems to have a case of the yips. Whiffing on one times and fumbling the puck. Hopefully he can turn it around!

  11. Rasmussen looks good at times but also there are times where he isn't aggressive enough or lapses defensively. Not really a fan of him. Chariot was a mistake that is very apparent. We need to move Chariot and Rasmussen for something in a trade. Oh.. And don't get me started on Vrana. What a dumpster fire that guy is for this team.

  12. vrana is in GR for the rest of the year, the big team doesn't need him this year at all and will probably have room next year if he does good at camp. there is Zero rush for him to get it together quickly

  13. Trade Larkin, please, just trade him, I love the guy, but the potential picks, let's go get those picks, Bert can go. Don't want to be unhuman, but, they need to go. Trade Hronek also. Sundqvist and Hronek to Edm for JP, 2 2nds and 4th + 5th. Larkin to COL (if it's not Horvat) for 2 2nds also. Bert can go also. We are not ready, it's time to tank, who cares about bedard, it's about what is best. 19 did NOT sign guys to 'go for it' he found pieces he might be able to trade later and that is what he will do.

  14. Trade Larkin and our pick to move into the top 3-5. Build around the Seider/Raymond (and Fantilli/Carlsson/Smith) core

  15. Yzerman should do what he needs to do to keep Larkin but put some of that money in a performance bonus that only gets paid if they make the playoffs.
