  1. At this point, I'm rooting for the Canucks to lose. I've watched this team for 33 years, and it's been 2 runs to the Cup and mediocrity otherwise. The problem with mediocrity is that it's hard to get out of. At least if you're really bad, you can get lucky with some high draft picks. Look at the Oilers. They were so bad for so long, it didn't matter how many 1st round picks they botched. They got it right when it counted – when the choice was obvious, like McDavid, Nurse and Draisaitl. If they're not going to make the playoffs, I'd rather see a higher draft pick and an opportunity to get better. I used to have a connection as a kid to the players, and then management broke my heart in the late 90s, driving key players away. Never again. The Aquilinis can call me when they decide to let management do the job right. Obviously, that's more difficult with the flat cap, but it's not entirely impossible.

I'm at the point where nobody is safe. If you offer up enough for anyone, they're yours. I don't care who they are. Whether it's Pettersson, Hughes, Bo or Demko, they're not winning a championship here anyway, so what's the difference? We're not winning with them, so without them won't make any difference to me. I have to be able to believe the team has a chance every night, and that's all I ask for. I haven't had that in a decade. I'm not a bandwagon fan either. I just demand that if I'm going to spend money on Sportsnet streaming to watch the game or invest in the team in other ways, that I get some kind of a return at some point.

In 2011, even when they were up 3-2, I saw what Boston was capable of and I didn't think they were going to get it done and once they lost Game 6, I was certain. The last time I actually thought they had a chance was in the 3rd period of Game 7 in 1994. Lafayette hit the crossbar late in the game and there were other scoring chances. in that period. The game basically came down to who had the most gas left in the tank, and the refs called an early 1st period penalty which took the wind right out of the team's sails. It was at that point that I realized it wasn't going to be an even contest. The Canucks almost defied the odds and on paper, they weren't that much worse than the Rangers.

But after that, I don't expect the Canucks or any Canadian team to win a Cup in my lifetime. The league is structured against them. It favours teams in non-hockey markets who don't have to be competitive because the fans don't care anyway. They'll watch football or basketball or baseball. So those teams have zero pressure to be competitive. They can take their time and build their team correctly. In Canada, if you miss the playoffs, everyone loses their minds, so it's a race to the mediocrity.

  2. Gino and I are in the same age group so I ran in to him all the time in the local bars when we were both in our prime.. Such a nice guy. RIP. He will be sorely missed.

  3. Hi my name is Shahid & this is my case,
can I ask you something very important for sure definitely ? Yeah of course actually at this stand point, well I don't own why specifically, Actually I want to ask you question ? For example if you were payler Agent did not Ingratiate will he accept agree on his term & decide which team is Available for his interest in same category for General Manager they also did not ingratiate one player offer from Vancouver or Carolina both side as creative role their decision let those two players teams depend on between Vancouver or Carolina currently, I don't think that different Logical level position will change into playoffs startinto April . but unfortunately I don't think Petterson or Hughes Bo or probably not Demko in that case, they should not wear different uniform not involve with Vancouver or Carolina, but unfortunately what I Mention those players involve with Toronto will be perfect fit solution their Eventually to make new highs different Logical level. That's what I believe in this conversation.

  4. RIP Gino

Too bad you missed him Lego he was a beauty. Pacific collesium would go wild when he went looking for payback. Brave guy with a big heart.

  5. Don't blame Schenn who is your best defensive defenceman when your top players Petterson apparently a top player making the mistakes they and got for it your -$1m defenceman Schenn can't fix all your teams beyond brutal play.

  6. Vancouver fans when they win 😄😄😄😄
