Well, damn. That was wonderful and unexpected. I figured they were just passing around to run out the clock because they were too gassed to try and do anything but try and win in a shootout.

Holy crap, what a comeback. Great to see 43 and 19 get on the board. Kuemper came up huge. Never ever sit Milano.
That interchange between Orlov and Oshie was amazing, just great chemistry.
Backstrom now looks better than at any point last season, although he should consider not tackling his own goalie.

I’m glad they review major penalties. I understand why the refs made the call they did in the moment, but it wasn’t a headshot and they ended up getting it right. Adding the ability to review those makes it easier to call headshots and hopefully make some progress towards removing them from the game. That, to me, was that system working exactly as intended.
Sorokin needs to change his shorts after that one!

Huge huge win. Yuge. Especially the way they have been playing lately, had to get 2 after completing the comeback. Had to. Now they have some mojo to go into the next game and keep improving.
