If we can keep the depth going, we’re going to be very tough contenders. There were a few sloppy moments in these last few away games which we need to clamp down on going into the second part of the season. LGD!
NJD is putting '23 playoff doubters on notice rn. They may not be as good as what their win streak was, but they are certainly much better than their December record. Great to see the depth scoring this recent stretch, great game by Blackwood (would love to see more of that from him consistently), and getting healthy with Bastian and Marino nearly back. LGD

Couldn't agree more about Okhotiuk. I've wanted him up here since early last year. He's always played well. I think they need to figure out Bahl this year as an RFA. Otherwise I'd think they know Okhotiuk has what the Devil's need.

Maybe long rests and starts from a backup role are good for Blackwood because no complaints for his show against LA. I feel sorry for Quick because he was the best goalie for a few years… like 10 years ago, and he's in the final stages of decline now. I listen to a lot of games on internet radio because I'm in Thailand now and when Chico points out all the flaws and ones he should have had, you know he doesn't want to have to talk bad about a fellow goalie – even one that cost us a championship. Yeah the team is definitely making fewer big errors and the scoring and D have been top of division level. Okhotiuk looked good. When Bahl took those 2 penalty's back to back I think against Boston, that started to worry me. The Kraken game will be a good test. Boston is going to be hard to beat in the playoffs so I'm pretty sure we will get in this year and our total points are going to be critical to see who we play first.
I thought Blackwood was stellar. His positioning tonight was flawless. I like Okhotytuk as well.
I was hoping he would make the team out of camp. I think he brings more to the table than
Bahl and would like to see him stay up. His physical play is impressive and he seems to be
getting more comfortable with the NHL pace and speed.
This was a good test because both teams were evenly matched up. Hope this team can get the Wagon rolling all the way back to Newark!
