Le podcast « Les Oilers serrent les vis défensives sur Kraken lors d’une grande victoire » de The Cult of Hockey
Faisons cela! Le balado Cult of Hockey. Par les fidèles et pour les fidèles, ce soir avec Bruce McCurdy et David Staples. Ils creusent dans la victoire 5-2 d’Edmonton sur le Kraken de Seattle.
Deja Vue again. Last year it was the last week in January that Kane was in and they Began to get it together. Other then a slight timing issue, Kane looked like he hadn't missed a shift. The whole D and Team D looks far far better suddenly, so what was the holdup? If they play as they have the last 2 games for the vast majority of the remaining games, playoffs will be made.
If Nurse would actually take a man in front of the net instead of reaching for the puck (or dropping to a knee or his stomach) that first goal doesn't happen!
While MCDavid was slow to start the game, Leon was fast and physical. Loving it, it was often the other way around this season, despite Leon having many points. We are truely blessed with those two guys.
The terrible errors by Bouchard & Broberg in the past have been very costly – errors cause losses -so terrific for them to have quiet games. Just avoiding errors is really important – lets hope they can keep it up & if so a big help (& the fws played well to get them plusses)! Desharnais less flash but really seems to be helping. Nice win so now 53 points vs 56SEA & 58VEG. Might be they are too good so impossible to catch them, but 3rd is quite good & really great to see the try.
Campbell looks like a totally different goalie out there He’s got the Jane Jackson wardrobe malfunction still happening: needs a new glove or something gas to change, but he looks alive out there Oilers were the hard team to play against tonight. Usually it’s the other way around. No doubt that Vinny and Kane help massively in that facet of Oil game. The Thriller Bs look very solid as the third D pair.
The most significant difference for the Oilers between winning and losing for the last four games has been their much improved defensive coverage by the entire team. And, when you add up much better goaltending, the ability to clear their zone, over all puck control, significant contributions from their bottom six players, swarming the opposition's goaltender as well as the grit, determination and confidence to play the right way for the entire 60 minutes of the game, then all of these factors combined are the perfect recipe for ultimate success. Go Oilers!
With Dave its whatever you did most recently is how you've done the entire year…. 🙂 Huge recency bias… I think most of us suffer from that to varying degrees…
Yes Buuuuut…To Theo's ""Discredit" He was a little man juiced up on Cocaine when he played!!! Theo Fleurry…The guy we all hated, But…wanted him on our team. Amazing Player he was.
Yamamoto. Dirty play, imo, last June. Wasn’t called?? I’m thinking?? One play like that changes his life forever. I’ve been doing a lot of reading about injuries in professional sports since the Damar Hamlin incident in the NFL. Seems to me like the NHL could also do a better job. Hopefully Yam is ok and he takes the time he needs. Remember Khaira. Loved that guy’s compete but he just kept going back in too soon, imo. He’s had some bad shit happen in Chicago as well. Poor guy will probably be messed up forever. On a lighter note… a couple of my girls gave me tickets (for Christmas) for Edmonton in Ottawa February 11th. I’m feeling much more excited and optimistic than I did a couple of weeks ago! Btw I’ll be the 300 level idiot in a Hyman jersey(Christmas gift from a different daughter) Go Oilers!!

Boys are tightening things up. Good to see.
Why do you guys keep saying BroburY instead of BroburG?

Thank you David for not coughing through the whole podcast. Really appreciate it.
Makes it all so much better.
You guys have a great podcast. I love sharing it with Oilers fans everywhere
The powerplay seems to have hit a wall lately… They need to figure out what's going on there.

“Folded him like a cheap lawn chair” 😂😂😂
My bro Barry looking better and better
That was a good defensive game by the Oilers. Getting some greasy, lucky goals wouldn’t hurt either.

In important games DARNEL NURSE can score but on his own net.. ☝️🥺 we will never win Stanley Cup with this defenceman!!!
5:46 Nurse also had a spectacular tip-in goal!
My glass is half full. Let's see how we play defensively VS Tampa on Thursday🤞
