100% agree with Fitzgerald gone now Adams needs to add a D man preferably a BIG D man who hits and blocks shots .But Adams needs to do it asap as the price goes up substantially on trade deadline day usually a 1st round pick .
IMO stay away from Jacob Chychrun as he is injury prone , and the price Arizona is asking is too high.
Instead Adams should go after Jake Mccabe Chi, Joel Edmudson Mtl, David Savard Mtl , Josh Brown Arizona , Matt Dumba Minn, Ranko Gudas FLA , or Gavrikov from Columbus . All of these D men are big physical shot blocking D men who are classified as defensive defenceman aka a stay at home D man which would be a more suitable partner for Owen Power unlike Jacob Chychrun who is an Offensive D man .
Put a package together including the rights to goalie Eric Portillo who is rumoured not to be signing with Buffalo, , a draft pick and or Jacob Bryson .
Another benefical addition could be some SIZE up front … Lawson Crouse Arizona, Jordan Greenway Minn, Hathaway Washington, or Owen Tippett Philadelphia . Or they could wait to the off season to do this and then sign UFA Miles Wood from NJ.
