    Well, at this point, I'm thinking the Canucks are really not as far away from a good team as people might think. They have no problems scoring goals, so I don't see any need for major changes at forward, but they can't stop goals being scored on them to save their own lives. Early on, it was clearly an issue with Demko being ice cold and struggling to make basic saves, but that seems to have now translated into the team not being able to play defense, and the main issue seems to be the back 6. They need to trade away or buy out the contracts of a couple of blatant weak links they have back there and bring in a true stay at home defenseman to replace what they lost when they couldn't keep Chris Tanev. He's really the guy the Canucks are missing most right now – a reliable veteran who can limit the other team's chances. Myers is not that guy, nor are any of the other players the Canucks have back there. Quinn Hughes as amazing, as a rushing defenseman, but without that stay at home partner who can cover for his risks when they don't pan out, we get a major problem with counter attacks.

    I'm at a weird place right now where I'm not sure if I want the Canucks to win the game, because they're my team, or if I want them to lose because I want a better pick for next year. Can't help but cheer for them… but not disappointed at the result tonight either. Obviously the players themselves are trying really hard out there, and I want the best for them… but making some serious improvements to the team's defense is a major priority.

    Vancouver has been tanking hard for Bedard. ( who isn't?) Rutherford isn't gonna do anything to make them better. He isn't going to fire Bruce, trade Horvat, although if the right deal comes along,.. it's Bedard or Bust!

    Myers and oel chilling beside the goalie together no lightning player in sight and Lazar is playing defence…. Sums up the Canucks season in a nutshell. Two, million dollar pylons being depended on and they can't defend against a beach ball
