  1. The All-NBA comparison doesn't do it justice. Luka was a 3x first team All-NBA … That means he was a top5 player 3 years in a row. Trae was never even close to being a top5 player, even once.

  2. Trae Young went to Eastern conference final in 2021. Luka went to Western conference final in 2022. Still in the game

  3. 16:51I HAVE INCURRED SO MUCH LOSSES TRADING ON MY OWN…I TRADE WELL ON DEMO BUT I THINK THE REAL MARKET IS MANIPULATED… CAN ANYONE HELP ME OUT OR AT LEAST TELL ME WHAT I'M DOING WRONG ?

  4. People say Atlanta lost the trade. TRUE. But if you analyze the top-5 draft pick that night, Atlanta made the 2nd best decision out of the top-5 on that night.

  5. Dallas had the help and talent around Luka. They drafted him from Villanova and traded him to New York, and the Knicks' record looks pretty good

  6. Maxi kleber and dorian finney smith were on the team when Luka was drafted. Who does fact checking at ESPN lmao

  7. Trae could average 30 if he wanted but I think he truly enjoys throwing lobs rather than shoot his floater.

  8. espn actually were annoying in defending and saying that atlanta won this trade. just search rachel nichols and im pretty sure marc spears said trae was better.

dallas was winning this trade hands down no matter what espn agenda they wanted to push in the past

  9. People will say the Hawks got some great things back but this is an all-time heist in my opinion. Everyone knew how great Luka was and he still fell in your lap at 3rd and you gave it away for 1 extra pick. Anyone who watched Luka in Real Madrid knew he was the next big thing. As a Fenerbahce fan it was crushing to see him win the Euroleague but you also knew this bs won’t continue for long because he would go to the NBA to play 2 decades there and terrorize NBA teams. He was clearly a generational talent and a guard-forward hybrid with his height which was what the league’s best players are right now and it even was like than back then. You took a nice flashy play guy that’ll make you a first round exit over the face of the league, someone who’ll end up in conversation for these top 10 debates. I know the Hawks made a Conference Finals but they got the luckiest path you could have gotten that year. Avoiding Brooklyn and the Bucks, playing a Knicks team with Julius Randle as their best player and limited shooting and get a dysfunctional Philly team that’s a one man show along with a crumbling star breaking down as a player in front of everyone. They nearly even got to the Finals when they faced a Bucks team that didn’t have Giannis after game 4. Basketball gods had to interfere with this luck and also nerf the Hawks with Trae’s injury.

  10. No we don’t have to look back and compare
Let’s move on and appreciate two future HOFs

  11. Lol can wait for the Hawks to win a championship because espn and all media would have to get on their knees 😂😂😂 do what they do for the teams like the Lakers And the Knicks 😭😭😭

  12. – Suns, Kings, Hawks messed up not taking Luka
    – Hawks still got the second best player going in Trae although note how nobody ever comes to his defense, just like the equally unpopular Ben Simmons. Trae seems a truly awful teammate
    – Mavs are never winning anything with the present supporting cast for Luka
    /End

  13. Hawks won game. Hawks won trade. Hawks winning championship. Good night.

  14. They've statistically been the same player except for 5 rebounds a game in Luka's favor. Even with Luka reaching new heights I'd still make this trade as Atlanta, I just wouldn't draft Cam Reddish.

  15. None of them have a chip.
Their teams even have similar records, and they have similar career stats. Until there's a chip, there's no need for this conversation.
This is just a hit piece on Trae, and of course, Malika wanted to anchor the hit piece on another black man.

  16. Wow! For two players carees to be so similar you would expect this much hate in one direction. Where is this coming from? Their records are nearly identical and if Luka is so much better why is so hard to find pieces that work around him? This is blizzard!

  17. Trae is still that guy. Probably the greatest floater in the game right now. Luka is just a generational talent so you can’t really compare

  18. I think Trae is trying to win games now. Doing the right thing only took 11 shots and had 12 asts while doing better on defense. He's not worried about his scoring numbers anymore

  19. u didnt even bring up the fact that they went to the Eastern Conference Finals last year…. ESPN back at it again with the slight hate
