    Kind of 50/50 tbh

    I like the new skate logo itself better, because it’s always bothered me that the white background doesn’t go over the S, it just looks weirdly cut off

    I think the collar on the new one looks incomplete being black all the way up. Still not sure how I feel about the stripes on the new one

    I thought it was the white that I missed, but now looking at it, it’s just the sizing of the stripes. Small red with big yellow, no space, and the entire new jersey is fixed.

    I love the North Shore Mountains impression on the inside of the collar of the new ones, as well as the subtle plastic V detail on the sleeve stripes, but from a distance, the new skate Jersey is a bit too sanitized for my liking. The separated colour-blocking is strange and I hate that they’ve made the collar completely black. I get what they were trying with adding the trim to the current number font but it doesn’t work as well as the classic block numbers. As a whole package, the old one blows the new one out of the water.

    Also don’t get me started on the TD patch.

    Old. The white stripes are important. SPEED. Adds to the contrast and it’s OG.

    The weird 3D mock up render doesn’t do the new one justice. It actually looks pretty cool in person. I too thought the missing white and missing collar was weird on the rendering. But seeing them on the ice at the game had the team looking pretty bad ass, even though the actual product on the ice was far from that. And they don’t sell them with the TD sign thank god because that would be a hard no for me. And the embossed V is pretty cool in person too.

    Although, the OG 90’s is the best. The newer adidas ones do a better job with the centre placement of the crest. If you don’t know what I’m talking about, take a good look at the 90’s ones. The circle is actually quite off centre in order for the Canucks word to be centred.

    I’m thinking of getting Gino put on it cuz it was released on his ceremony day. But… not sure if I want to give this team any of my money right now.
