The Leafs are having another great regular season. It's past time they had a great playoff run. The last time I was excited about the Leafs in the playoffs was exactly 30 years ago in 1993. They came within one game of facing Montreal in the final. Fun fact: In 1993 we came very close to a Toronto/Montreal Stanley Cup Final and a Toronto/Montreal World Series in the same year. The Blue Jays won the World Series that year over Philadelphia. The Montreal Expos finished a close second behind Philadelphia in 1993. If they could have won a few more games and won their division and then the National League Championship, they would have faced the Blue Jays in the World Series. What an exciting year for sports that would have been for Canada.

Offense – plus, Samsonov – double plus, defense – double minus. Advice to Mr. Coach from Toronto: find one "moose" in defense, so that the "fawns" themselves turn into "moose". Solidify your defense because only a goalie can't make the playoffs unless by some miracle it's frivolously and mathematically wrong to hope for.

Matthews is at his best when he shoots low. Far too often this season he tried to pick the top corner and either missed or the goalie saved it cuz he was too predictable.
The Jets were the better team last night in the 1st and 3rd. Samsonov stole this one with a little help from Matthew’s.
But that being said, there’s been a few games over the past few seasons the Hellabuyvk has completely robbed from the Leafs. Nice to have it the other way around for once.

Better team didn't win but we're lucky samsonov played amazing. Jets had us looking like an AHL team out there for most of the night.
Jets played well but made a few key mistakes. Leafs were consistent and feasted on those mistakes. Good game! Too bad they won't have a rematch this season. Maybe a Stanley Cup final? That would be crazy!
